The warm soft voice of OwlStar echoed across the clearing. Cats began to emerge from thier dens while elders continued to tell all six of black meadow's kits stories happilly.
The clan seemed peaceful as breeze paw emerged from the apprentice, her eyes a bit drowsy and her tail flicking behind her.
Her paws padded across the hard ground, her gaze turning from each cat she passed onto the next one.
Everyone seemed to be in order but something was off. OwlStar didn't have the usual delightful look he would be giving with such peace.
The full white tom let out a sigh full of sorrow before he began. " Owlclan, you are all noble and trustful warriors but unfortunately your bravery couldn't stop three more deaths from occurring."
"Our patrols have recently found the murdered bodies of Rowan paw, sleek paw and silent river on the edge of some borders"
"Murders are becoming a regular thing for owl clan which should in no way be happening, as your clan leader i advise that we keep extra precautions before taking our apprentices out for training" OwlStar finally finished. "We're trying our best to locate the murderer, whoever they are. What we would like from the rest of you is to think, nor accuse but think. If any cat seems suspicious please bring them to my attention. Meeting dismissed."
Whispers and mutters erupt from the cats below them as gossip was clearly about to spread on how the cats could be dying and which cat or clan is killing them.
Breeze paw saw one of the warriors of owlclan known as tree fall growling beneath her breath.
" how could a leader with nine lives just sit and watch his clan mates die beneath his paws?" she snarled.
Breeze paw grinned and before letting out a purr she slowly trotted to the side of the crowd where the shecat was.
" I believe you have a good point." breeze paw mewed sitting down beside the shecat.
" OwlStar has always been.. Shady in many ways "Breeze paw said with a worried and quiet sounding voice.
Trees fall twitched her ear and looked to the side where breeze paw was sitting before asking with concern." how so? "
" during the badger fight in which hawk paw died in I was there, hawk paw didn't stumble he Cleary got pushed by someone.. OwlStar was sitting by him to protect him but as soon as i turned my back i emediatly saw him get thrown to the side"
Tree fall perked her ears carefully and her eyes slowly drifted up to OwlStar before telling breeze Paw something she didn't know the apprentice would use to her advantage.
" not to mention but, OwlStar is indeed the father to Horizon sight's upcoming kits."
Breeze paw ears perked up quickly in supprise and her paws tensed and she narrowed her eyes. "Isn't his mate moss leaf?"
" that's the thing, i saw them meet up one night when everyone was in thier nests, both those cats were unloyal mates. Horizon sight is mates with hawk talon and OwlStar should know exactly where his loyalties lay"
" OwlStar is with Horizon Sight?!" Breeze paw tried not to yowl in shock.
"No, not anymore. He abandoned her and clearly abandoned moss leaf as well, I've tried my best to inform her but that greedy fox heart keeps me on patrols. All i want is for him to get what he deserves for killing an apprentice, cheating on moss leaf and abandoning the cat he cheated on her with and letting so many cats die without questioning " Tree fall scowled.
Breeze looked up at OwlStar with a smirk. I have all the information I never even knew I needed until now, and i can use it against you. I already have tree fall and Horizon sight on my side at least I hope so.
