BreezeClaw's Massacre

Chapter 20

The dark clearing would slowly lighten up as a big beam of light arose from the horizon, lightening up the whole forest along with it. Bringing a new dawn and a new day to the pine forest.

" Get up"

Tall kit rustled awake, his eyes shrouded and his vision blurry as he slowly rose his head up taking in his sorroundings before taking a final glance at a familiar long furred calico shecat standing in front of him.

Breeze Claw's tail twitched with irritation, loosing her patience she hissed fighting the erge to slash the apprentice awake and only hissed. " Wake up!"

Tall kit's eyes shot wide open and his ears perked in alarm. She jolted up, turning his head to see Breeze Claw and finally managing to clear up his mind nowt that he was done processing what happened.

" Come on! I have a place to be after training you" Breeze Claw lashed her tail. " Wake up your sister and meet us at the camp entrance" with that Breeze Claw trailed off the camp entrance.

Realizing she would be alone for some time the molly took it as a chance to properly groom herself. She lifted her paw and grazed her tongue over it, lapping it over her ear a couple times before glancing to the side relieved to finally see three cats, two of them looking drowsy and tired it was supprising that they managed to walk straight without any issues. " About time" Breeze Claw announced before getting onto her paws and padding out of the clearing, disappearing into the forest as FireMask followed along with the two apprentices who tried their best to fasten their pace in order to catch up with the wide awake warriors.

They had arrived at an empty clearing that was beside a rock and some tall grass surrounding it. Tall paw flopped onto the grass after rustling from the bushes, his fur bristled.

Pale paw let out a small chuckle of laughter, looking at the tom's ear. Tall kit raised a brow and managed to draw his pupils back towards his ear and saw a black spotted red insect known as a lady bug resting on the tip of his ear.

Tall kit let out a horrified gasp and jolted to his paws, stumbling back and landing on his haunches, swinging a sheathed paw at his ear in panic making sure the insect flew away as soon as possible and letting out a relieved sigh when it did.

Seeing such bee brained nonsense Breeze Claw snapped at the two foolish apprentices. " Stop that foolishness and get over here" She hissed, flicking her tail rapidly in anger.

Tall paw and Pale paw quickly bolted towards her and FireMask. " So are you going to teach us how to hunt? Will we eat our prey? Backing the nursery we always had first picks of everything! Will we still do the same even though we are apprentices or only on the first day, when you reward us? Reward us for what -"

Breeze Claw swung an unsheathed claw at the talkative apprentice's muzzle, making him stumble back in shock feeling the sting ringing on his muzzle.

" Shut it and talk whe'the spoken to you croaking toad. " Breeze Claw ordered. Tall paw nodded quietly, wiping off some trickling blood from his muzzle using his black paw.

" Now, today you two will be practicing battle training so I will give you steps and you follow them without any question. Got that? "
Tall kit nodded while pale paw kept her gaze locked on the small scar formed on her brother's muzzle.

" I have a better idea " FireMask stepped up, shouldering the apprentices away from Breeze Claw.
" I will train my apprentice and your will train yours, afterwards they will fight to prove that they have learnt something"
Breeze Claw actually agreed well with his plan and nodded.

" Come on Tall paw" She lashed her tail to signal for him to approach. Tall paw shakily got up and began walking with her looking behind his shoulder to give his sister a final look of sorrow before disappearing it other tall grass.
