“Oh Haley, I’m SO sorry!”

Okay, Zan, I have never been so happy to hear your voice, has he gone? I generally mean that.

“I just had  talk with him outside, he’s gone now Haley, you’re okay with me aren’t you?”

Ye....n-yeah I guess. But I really kinda want my dad right now.

“What are you doing back here?”

Okay that was Zan’s voice but she wasn’t talking to me...

“That’s my niece lying there is it okay that I come here?”

Oop that’s Uncle Ted.

Uncle Ted...Get out.

“Not really after what you said to her no!”

Yes! Go for it Zan!

“Well I’m sorry but are you related to her in any way? NO!”

“I am everything she’s got, I’ve never given up on her and I have been here from day 1, sat with her, never missed a day,”

“Oh gimme a BREAK! It’s not like she can actually hear us is it?”

Um RUDE yes I can, actually.

“Of course she can And she just heard what you just said then as well, probably made her dislike you even more!”

“She doesn’t dislike me at all!”

“After you said all that she probably does!”

I am liking it when Zan has arguments with people! Only problem is I can’t see them.

“You can keep quiet actually; of course she jolly well loves me I’m her Uncle Ted for goodness sake!”

“You two what is going on?”

Oh hang, on different voice, but a voice I’ve heard before...

“Hello nurse-”

“It’s you! The one I nearly had to remove you from the premises for being disruptive!”

Oh it's her.

“Can I just say, this man here is being very rude to this young girl here, telling her it was her fault that her little brother died!”

“Well it kind of was!”

OH, you see this line? YOU JUST CROSSED IT.

“Enough please you two we cannot have you both in here if you’re going to be that noisy,”

“Right tell this ‘woman’ to leave then,”

 “Excuse me-”

“No excuse me, but I have to admit this woman has been here every single day, in fact I haven’t seen a day without her here...but I have never seen you here ...um what’s your name?”

“Ted, and I am blood related, she’s my niece she is!”

“Is she?”

“Yes! And the only reason I haven’t been here before is because I have been hurting too! It was my family too you know, have you heard her story?”

“Oh I’ve heard her story, she’s quite famous,”

Famous???

“Pleasee don’t kick me out!”

Ugh Uncle Teds giving her the puppy-eyes-I’m-as-sweet-as-sugar approach.

“Very well, seeing as your both worthy of being here you’re going to have to share, Ted you do today and Zan you do tomorrow blah blah blah, not a peep out of either of you about it, if you do you will not see her at all okay?”

Nothing. Looks like I’ll be facing Ted then, but believe you me when I get out of this place, he aint getting any Haley love. I officially dislike him.

“Alright sweetie?”

Ugh, and no Ted’s asking me questions.

I will from now on call him Ted as I am disowning him as an Uncle.

And no I do not think I’m taking this too far.

“Do not fear Uncle Ted is hear!”

Oh please.

“So how long does this Zan sit here talking to you then?”

Ages, yep, you have to live up to her standard.

“Ugh you can’t even hear me I bet! Ahaha!”

No I can hear you; I can hear everything your saying.

Why is it that accidents drive families apart? Aren’t they supposed to bring them together?

I have been so angry to realise that actually, I died a little inside when he said that to me - just like I have done every time Zan tells me a bit more of my ‘story’, there will be nothing of me left soon.

I am still falling off my roller coaster but I can tell I’m reaching the bottom.

The happy, loveable fun Ted has turned into a monster, I loved him so much and I enjoyed seeing him every single time but now, I have disowned him as an Uncle.

I said I disliked him, but I don’t think I do anymore. In fact I don’t think I ever did, or will.
