The applause died down as Taehyung reached Jin after playing, but Jin kept clapping softly.
Taehyung heard Jin say "You do know how to play other songs"
Taehyung rolled his eyes with a smile "Like I said. Yes"
Jin chuckled "Yeah yeah. Which song was it?"
"Somewhere over the rainbow" Taehyung answered "From-"
"From Wizard Of Oz right!?" Jin gushed "I know that song!"
Taehyung nodded his lips curling in a smile. He was glad Jin knew about the song "My mother used to sing it to put me and Namjoon hyung to sleep"
Taehyung saw Jin smiling as they fell into step beside each other.
Taehyung was not sure how much time they spent at the mall. Or when they decided to step outside.
The events blurted together as he let himself free and enjoy the night. Thoughts about Namjoon, the keychains, the fact that the matchmaker was supposed to be his arch nemesis and other things that normally crowded his mind were yeeted out of the window.
At some point they ended up in a hat shop, trying on some of them. Even the ridiculous ones.
Taehyung tried on a ridiculously big hat, the flaps bent downwards and covered his entire upper of half on the body.
Taehyung used the flaps like a fan, covering his face and fluttering it.
When he lifted the flap he could see Jin loosing his mind, laughing as he held his stomach.
Jin then tried on a dramatic cowboy hat, which was adorned with all the details. Taehyung watched as Jin made a finger gun, shooting at Taehyung with the necessary sound effects.
Taehyung couldn't help himself as he played along, hand clutching his heart as he made a pained expression, though it did not stay for long, both of them dissolving into laughter.
Taehyung placed a hat, with a huge bow back on the stand when Jin exclaimed in surprise.
"We need to go get the keychains!" Jin exclaimed "It's almost an hour"
Taehyung barely had time to look at him and reply to him when, a warm hand grabbed his, pulling it along.
Taehyung ran to match Jin's speed. Absent mindedly, he let Jin lead him, his eyes falling to that hand that wrapped around his wrist before snapping back at Jin's head again.
Wind rushed past Taehyung's ears, his stomach lurching. The market was alive despite the dark. The lights buzzing past, his eyes barely making out anything.
