Jin knocked on the door twice before he heard a come in.
He entered and smiled when he saw Namjoon in his seat.
"Ah Jin" Namjoon greeted "Sit down"
Jin went in and sat down in front of Namjoon's table "Nice office"
Namjoon smiled and looked around "I will have to move to the President position in less than a month. It will change then"
Jin nodded "It's a lot of responsibility."
Namjoon nodded "Yeah. But it kind of is exciting. And I will have Taehyung by my side"
"The vice president" Jin said
Namjoon nodded "This office will be his then. I am sure he will change everything. He has very specific taste"
Jin chuckled "Yeah"
"He is very excited actually" Namjoon said "To become the vice president."
Jin nodded.
"Now" Namjoon said "I am curious as to why you wanted to meet me without Taehyung. Tired of his rude remarks?"
Jin shrugged "Not really. But there are certain things that I want to talk that would be better done without him. And I mean that in the best way possible"
Namjoon chuckled "From what I have seen these recent days, Taehyung seems to really like riling you up. So don't take anything he says to heart"
Jin shook his head "Don't worry."
"So what did you want to talk to me?"
Jin sat a little straighter "So- I know I am basically a stranger. But I need you to be honest with me"
Namjoon nodded.
"Did something happen in the past?" Jin asked "I know you told me about people dating you just for your status and money. But I have a feeling I am missing something"
Namjoon sat silent for a minute.
And Jin let him take his time. He had to be patient if he wanted the information.
Namjoon sighed "I don't know how to say this. But- Mom doesn't like to talk about it"
Jin nodded thoughtfully "I understand. And I don't need you to tell me everything. Just a vague idea"
Namjoon pursed his lips "I am sure you have wondered why mom calls herself Ms Kim and not a Mrs"
Jin kept quiet waiting for Namjoon to continue.
"Well-" Namjoon continued "Our father- he- to put it lightly was a fraud. I guess he couldn't handle the fact that mom made all the money because he ran away with it"
