Butterflies || Taejin

Danger: Butterflies Rampant.

When Jin saw Taehyung again, it was in the evening.

It was actually Taehyung who came in search of him, knocking on his bedroom door.

Jin had called 'come in' thinking it was Jaebum.

"Hey"

Jin, who had been standing at the balcony and admiring the setting sun turned at the familiar voice.

"Hey" Jin replied back, unsure as to what Taehyung was doing here.

Taehyung cleared his throat "Mind if I join you?"

Jin nodded.

Taehyung walked to the balcony, delicately holding the railings and leaning onto them, facing the setting sun.

Jin stood back a little, one hand on the railing and turned to face Taehyung instead.

"The rooms on this side have the best sunset views. The rooms on my side have the best sunrise views" Taehyung explained.

Jin nodded, although not sure if Taehyung registered it.

He had closed his eyes, letting the golden light bask his tan skin and highlight his hair in the best way possible.

Jin wondered how his brown eyes would sparkle in the same light. Would they be golden? Or a hazel brown?

"You met Jimin?" Jin asked

Taehyung opened his eyes, But Jin couldn't make out the colour of his eyes from the side.

"Yes" Taehyung said.

"And?" Jin tilted his head hoping to get a look at his eyes.

"We ate" Taehyung answered.

"And?" Jin leaned further.

"I was thinking about Jungkook telling me to invite him to be my plus one for the handover"

Jin went still "And?"

Taehyung turned to him ever so slightly and hummed "I don't know. Doesn't make sense at the moment."

'Golden Brown' Jin's mind registered. Taehyung's eyes turned golden brown under the light of the setting sun.

Taehyung sighed and turned back towards the sun, almost gone now. The bottom curve melting into the clouds.

"So pretty isn't it?" Taehyung asked.

Jin didn't take a second to answer.

"Yeah"

They stayed like that until the sun completely disappeared, and came in once it stated to get chilly outside.
