Jin walked down to breakfast that morning more happily and more at ease for the first time since he stepped foot in that house.
Hobi had returned and for once Jin felt pretty confident to face Ms Kim.
He hadn't told Hobi about his plan yet. He wanted it to be a surprise for him too.
He and Hobi greeted everyone at the table as they sat down.
Pleasantries was exchanged between Hobi and Jungkook's mother as this was the first time they were seeing each other.
Jin looked at Taehyung nodding at him with a smile which Taehyung graciously returned.
"So, Namjoon's date is tonight" Ms Kim said as they all started eating.
Jin nodded.
"Do I get my usual talk with you before the date again?" Namjoon asked.
Jin smiled "Do you want one for the third time?"
Namjoon shrugged "I actually do."
"We will definitely have it then" Jin assured.
"Also" Jin said "Taehyung, what are you doing tonight?"
Taehyung looked up from his plate "Me? Oh I was thinking we two could go out again. To get your mind off Namjoon Hyung or else you will be pacing in the living room the entire night"
Everyone had stopped eating now. Even Jin who had been excited to spill his news since the beginning of breakfast seemed at a loss of words.
"What?" Taehyung asked, confused at the silence.
"Well, that's very thoughtful Taehyung" Ms Kim said "I am impressed"
"Uhh.. yeah. Yeah" Jin stuttered. "But you don't have to do that. I'll be fine. And uh, since that means you are free.."
Taehyung frowned "What?"
Jin smiled again "You are going on a date."
"What?" Namjoon asked as if it's the most ridiculous thing he had heard.
Hobi pulled his arm and whispered "What are you doing?"
"Oh! Isn't that wonderful?" Jungkook's mother said.
"Huh? Uh...um yeah. Yeah. Sure is." Ms Kim said.
Well, that was not the reaction Jin had been hoping. He had expected a little more of an enthusiastic reaction. Like the one Jungkook's mother gave.
"I have work" Taehyung said.
Jin frowned "No you don't"
"He doesn't" Jungkook confirmed earning a kick from under the table.
