When the two got to the dine, they sat near the back where there were less people. Lavender was a little nervous, being that she's never really been out with a guy in a while.
Especially a guy like Billy. Although, it seemed like she wasn't the only one nervous. Sure Billy's been out with plenty of girls, but with Lavender it was different.
While they looked at their menus, Lavender couldn't help but glance over the menu to look at Billy. When he caught her looking, she would quickly hide her face making Billy chuckle. A waitress came over to them, pen and notepad in her hand.
"Lavender, honey. It's good to see you. You're lookin very pretty in your little angel outfit" The waitress, Dot, gushed making Lavender smile sheepishly, her eyes glancing at Billy who was already looking at her with a smirk.
"She's not wrong" Billy grinned, causing Lavender to blush.
"Who's this handsome young man you're with?" Dot questioned, looking to Billy.
"Billy Hargrove, ma'am" He answered, showing off his charming smile.
"You've got a good one here, honey. Now, would you like your usual?" Dot wondered.
"Yes please, Dot" Lavender smiled, handing her menu to the older woman.
"I'll have whatever the little lady's having, please" Billy smiled, handing his menu over as well. Dot gave Lavender a wink, before walking away from the table. Billy then turned his attention to Lavender, who was fiddling with the rings on her fingers.
"Do i make you nervous, angel?" Billy wondered with a smirk, watching as her face went red.
"What? Psh, of course not" She said, trying to play it off cool but failed miserably which made Billy laugh.
"So, Lavender Munson. Tell me about yourself" Billy asked.
"Well, uh, what exactly do you want to know?" She asked him.
"Do you plan on going to collage after you graduate?" He asked.
"I've actually applied for three different universities" The girl answered, making Billy look at her in surprise.
"What will you be majoring in? And where have you applied?" He wondered, just as Dot handed them their food.
"Art. And I've applied for universities in Chicago, Connecticut and Los Angeles" She answered, after she took a sip of her strawberry milkshake. Billy's head snapped up when she mentioned Los Angeles, which is in California where he used to live.
"California?" He questioned.
"Yep. It is the furthest one out of the three, but it's one of the best. I just have to wait and see if i get into any of them" Lavender explained, as she ate some of her fries.
Something in Billy stirred, from the amount of time that he's known her, he's grown to like her. A lot more then he anticipated, and now he was worried that he may lose the only person who seems to care about him.
Noticing Billy's silence, Lavender looked away from her food to see the conflicted look on his face. Reaching out, the girl gently grabbed his hand making him snap from his thoughts and looked Lavender's small hand on his.
"Are you okay, Billy? You kinda went quiet there" She wondered. Billy moved his hand so that it could gently hold hers, and he softly rubbed her knuckles with his thumb.
"I'm fine, angel. So, why does your brother call you Bambi?" He asked, making Lavender laugh slightly.
"Eddie started calling me that when we were three, because he couldn't pronounce my name. I was smaller then the other kids, and i was always so shy and quiet. Plus, Bambi is one of my favourite movies and i would always make Eddie watch it with me. Even to this day i still make him watch it with me" Lavender explained with a laugh.
Billy's smile widened at the sound of her laugh. Her laugh sounded so sweet, and it caused butterflies to fill Billy's stomach.
"You have a beautiful laugh" He said suddenly, making Lavender hide her face in her hands. She then felt a hand pull her hands away from her face, making her green eyes meet Billy's blue ones. His big hand suddenly caressed the side of her face, his thumb rubbing her cheekbone softly.
Lavender felt her breathe get caught in her throat, her heart thumping quickly against her chest. She felt like they were the only ones in the diner, as she continued taring into his beautiful blue eyes.
"You have beautiful eyes" She muttered quietly, which didn't go unheard by Billy. Now it was his turn for his cheeks to go red, which filled her with a sense of pride.
"I have this urge to kiss you" He said softly, his eyes moving from her eyes to her lips.
"I wouldn't be apposed to you kissing me" Lavender said shyly, looking to his very kissable pink lips. Billy leant forward slowly, his eyes focused on her soft pink painted lips. When his lips touched hers, both of them felt a surge of electricity run through their bodies.
Lavender hummed softly, her eyes closing as she melted into the kiss. Billy pressed his lips onto hers more, making the kiss feel more passionate.
Hesitantly, Lavender pulled away from the kiss but rested her head against his. Their lips were slightly red and puffy, and were both slightly out of breathe.
"I know we haven't known each other long, but i really like you Lavender" Billy admitted, making Lavender bit her lip to stop herself from grinning.
"I like you too, Billy. A lot" The two smiled at each other, and for the rest of the night Billy and Lavender got to know each other really well.
Lavender told stories about when her and Eddie were younger, although Billy didn't really want to speak about his past life or father, which Lavender could tell was a sore spot for him so she didn't press the matter.
The two spent two hours at the diner, drinking milkshakes, laughing and talking. Billy for once in his life felt happy, like really happy and it was all because of Lavender Munson. It was now midnight, and Billy decided to take Lavender home.
As he drove to her trailer, Billy held Lavender's hand as For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica blared through the cars speakers. In that moment, Lavender felt happy and content. She really liked Billy, and she hoped that nothing wrong would happen.
When they arrived at the trailer park, Billy parked the car and turned down the stereo. Billy turned to Lavender, who was already looking at him.
"I had a really good time tonight, Billy. The best time I've had in a long time, thank you" She said, smiling softly at the teen. Billy reached his hand out to move a strand of hair behind her ear, then cupped her face.
"I had a great time too. It's-it's been a long time since I've felt this happy. And it's all because of you, angel" He smiled, making the Munson girl blush bashfully. Lavender leant forward and captured Billy's lips, catching him by surprise not used to the girls confidence. The male's lips twitched upwards into a smile, as he brought her closer to him.
When the two pulled away, they both had large smiles on their faces. Billy's hand didn't leave her face, while Lavender's hands still held onto the lapels of his denim jacket.
"I should get inside. Thanks again for tonight, Billy" The girl pecked his lips, giving him another sweet smile.
"I'll see you tomorrow, angel. Have a good night" He winked, as he watched the girl get out of the car and walked over to her trailer, where Eddie was now standing in front of. He saw the two speak, and laughed when he saw Lavender shove her brother inside.
Lavender Munson was something else.
