After Joyce had let Mike in, he went into Lavender's room where Will and Eddie were with the girl. Joyce tried calling Hopper, but like usual he wasn't picking up, which made the Byers woman worried.

"Hey little Wheeler" Eddie smiled slightly, gaining one in return as the boy moved around the room to look at all her drawings.

"How are you feeling, Lav?" Mike asked, looking at the girl who was paler than usual and her skin was dripping with sweat.

"It's hard to explain. It's...it's like i feel what the shadow monster's feeling. See what he's seeing" She muttered.

"Like in the upside down?" Mike questioned.

"Some of him is there. But some of him is here, too" The girl answered.

"Here, like, in this house?" Will spoke up softly from beside the girl.

"In this house and...in me. It's like....it's like he's reaching into Hawkins more and more. And the more he spreads, the more connected to him i feel" Lavender said, her voice breaking towards the end and tears started building up in her eyes.

"And the more you see these now memories" Mike added, who was now sitting on the other side of the distressed teen.

"At first I just felt it in the back of my head. I didn't even really know it was there" She stated, while brushing her fingers over the back of her sweaty neck.

"It's like when you have a dream and you can't remember it unless you think really hard, right?" Will said, making the girl nod in agreement.

"Yeah. It was like that before. But now.....Now i remember. I remember all the time" Lavender whimpered. Eddie, who was sitting at the desk, felt his heart break even more as he listened to his twin sister.

Within the past few days, the older Munson twin had been feeling useless. He was sad to see his sister suffering, but he was mostly angry that he couldn't figure out how to help her and get the stupid creature out of her.

"Maybe that's good" Mike suggested, causing Lavender to snap her head in his direction with a questionable frown.

"Good?" She muttered.

"Just think about it, Lav. You're like a spy now. A superspy" Will said, trying to make Lavender see a somewhat good side to this whole thing. If this were any other situation, Lavender would be smiling at the idea but it just didn't sit right with her.

"Yeah, Byers is right. You'd be spying on the shadow monster. If you know what he's seeing and feeling....." Eddie said from his spot at the desk.

"Maybe that's how we can stop him. Maybe all of this is happening for a reason" Mike added.

"You really think so?" Lavender asked softly, looking to the dark haired Wheeler boy beside her with tears running down her face.

"Yeah. Yeah, i really do" The boy smiled. Lavender's eyes then switched to a drawing of the shadow monster that was sitting on the floor, making Mike and Will follow her line of sight.

"But--but what if he figures out we're spying on him? What if he spies back?" Lavender questioned with a shaky voice. Eddie got up from his seat, and wrapped his arms around his sister from behind.

"He won't, Bambi" He said softly, hoping to soothe her.

"How do you know?" She almost cried, making both Will and Mike grab onto one of her hands each to try and comfort her.

"We won't let him" The boys said at the same time, as Lavender continued staring at the drawing on the floor.

The next morning, Lavender found herself waking up feeling panicked and breathless. Will and Mike, who were sleeping on the floor, and Eddie who was sleeping in the chair beside her, woke up quickly to see her sitting up breathing heavily.

"Lav? What's wrong?" Mike asked, making the girl look down at him with wide panicked eyes.

"It's Hopper" Was all she said, before she got out of the bed and walked out to find Joyce, who was in the living room looking at all the drawings on the floors and walls. When the teen girl called out to  the woman, she didn't respond until Lavender lightly shook her, now gaining her attention.

"Lavender? What's wrong?" She asked.

"I saw him" Lavender said.

"You saw who, sweetie?" Joyce wondered.

"Hopper. I think he's in trouble. I think he's going to die" Joyce looked at the Munson girl in alarm, and stood up from her spot on the ground placing her hands on Lavender's shoulders.

"Do you know where he is?" The woman asked. Instead of answering, Lavender walked to her room with the others following her, and started drawing on a piece of paper.
