Chapter 10

"Get her out. Go! Go!"

"God! Hold on, sweetie!"

Lavender was on a gurney, an oxygen mask covering her mouth as she sobbed in agony. Joyce and Eddie were right by her head, running with the doctors that were quickly wheeling her inside.

"I'm right here, Bambi. Just hold on" Eddie cried. The doctors got the girl to a room, and moved her onto a hospital bed. Lavender continued screaming and sobbing in pain, as nurses, Dr Owens and her family surrounded her.

"Vitals?" A nurse questioned.

"Heart rate two-twenty. Temperature's a hundred and six. Lavender, where does it hurt?" The nurse asked her.

"All over" Lavender groaned loudly, but it was slightly muffled by the mask. The nurses cut away her jumper, luckily she was wearing a sport bra underneath, and tried to see where the injuries were.

"She says she feels like she's burning up. Check for burns" Doctor Owens ordered.

"I don't see anything" Said the ER doctor, who looked at Doctor Owens in confusion.

"Where does it hurt the most, Lavender?" The woman asked again.

"Everywhere! Everywhere!" The Munson girl screamed. Eddie couldn't take his teary eyes off his sister, as she screamed in pain.

This is the worst sight he's ever seen, and it was tearing him apart. Joyce could see how distressed the male twin was, and quickly pulled him into her arms making sure to turn his face away.

Eventually, they were able to get her sedated and she was now sleeping sounding in the hospital bed. While Joyce went to explain everything to the doctors, Bob, Eddie, Will and Mike stayed back with Lavender. Eddie was sitting beside his sister, her cold hand in his while Mike and Will were resting their heads beside her legs.

"Hey, Eddie. Did you end up telling Billy about all of this?" Mike questioned, as he sat up to look at the metal head. Without looking away from his sister, Eddie answered.

"Yeah, i did. He keeps asking about her, and wanting to know if she's okay" He answered plainly.

"Do you...do you think he should know about this?" Will wondered. Eddie didn't answer straight away, not really sure on how to answer that.

"Who's Billy?" Bob asked.

"Lavender's boyfriend. I don't get why she likes him, he's an asshole" Mike answered.

"He may be an asshole, but he makes Lavender happy. The happiest I've seen her in a long time" Eddie answered, as he got up to go phone Billy.

At the Hargrove residence, Billy working out in the living room with MTV going off on the tv. When the phone rang, but he couldn't hear it over the music.

When the phone rang again, Max marched out of her room to answer it. When she heard who it was, she went over to Billy and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Yeah, what do you want?" He snapped at the girl, as he continued lifting his weights. Usually Max would roll her eyes at his snappy attitude, but she knew that he was acting like that because he was worried about Lavender.

"It's Eddie. Said it was urgent" As soon as she said that, Billy basically dropped his weights and snatched the phone from her hand.

"What is it? Is she okay?" He asked. His annoyed attitude, now turning into one of concern. As he listened to Eddie talk, Max had noticed how Billy's whole demeanour changed. Billy was usually really good at hiding his emotions, but at the moment she could see the fear on his face.

"I'll be there" Was all he said, before slamming the phone down and went to grab his keys.

"Is it about Lavender? Is she okay?" Max asked, as she followed him around.

"Don't worry about it. I won't be home tonight or probably tomorrow, so just tell Neil that I'll be at a friends house for a few days" With that said, the teen was out the door and speeding his was through Hawkins.

It didn't take him long to get there, seeing as he was driving the fastest he's ever driven. He then lead through the halls and towards the room Lavender was in.

When he got to the room, his eyes settled on the unconscious girl on the bed. As he walked in, he didn't even acknowledge the others in the room, seeing as his eyes were frozen on Lavender.

Eddie had placed a seat next to his, so Billy could sit in it.

"She looks so pale" Billy whispered, gently grazing his fingers over her cheek. Mike and Will watched the interaction in shock. They had never seen an asshole like Billy act so soft, but they guess even Lavender can soften the baddest of guys.

"What exactly are the doctors doing to help her?" The male asked, slowly turning away from Lavender and looked to the others for answers.

"Joyce is speaking to them right now. We're still not entirely sure on what needs to be done, and i don't even think they know what to do" Eddie answered bitterly, causing Billy to clench his jaw in anger.

"They better figure it out soon, otherwise we're gonna have some problems" Billy spat.
