Chapter 11

"What the hell is taking so long?" Joyce sighed impatiently, as she sat in the seat near Lavender's bed. It had been a little over an hour ago since Joyce and Hopper spoke to Doctor Owens, and they haven't heard anything since.

"Hey...doctors take forever, always. Just try and relax. Just be patient" Bob said gently, making the woman take a deep breathe and try to remain calm. It seemed like Joyce wasn't the only one getting impatient, Eddie was as well. He was sick and tired of all of this, and just wanted his sister back to the way she was before.

"You know what....i just..." Joyce stammered, and quickly got up from her seat and marched out of the room, with Both Eddie and Bob not too far behind her.

Back in the room, Lavender seemed to be in some sort of trance. Her eyes staying focused on Bob, Joyce and Eddie, who were arguing with some guards. Her green eyes then focused on one of the guards, more specifically his gun.

In her mind, she saw flashes of when they were using fire to get rid of the vines, and when she was on the ground screaming because of the pain.

Mike was the first to notice Lavender's change in mood, and he tried getting her attention.

"Lavender? Lavender? Lavender?" Said girl snapped from her thoughts, her eyes looking into Mike's brown ones. Will and Billy stood up and moved closer to the bed.

"What's wrong? Are you hurting again?" Mike asked.

"Uh....I saw something" She said shakily.

"In your now memories?" Will asked, gaining a nod from the girl.

"The shadow monster. I think i know how to stop him" Mike looked to Will and Billy in shock, but there was a sliver of hope that filled their eyes and chest.

If only they really knew what was really going to happen.

When the adults came back to the room, Mike instantly told them what Lavender had told him. They then got Lavender out of her room, and into another room where the doctors set up photos they took of Lavender's map.

Her green eyes looked over the different pages, trying to look for where the soldiers needed to go.

"Sam, this is ludicrous" One of the doctors said from behind Lavender.

"Just give her a moment, okay?" Owens fired back.

"We don't have time---" The same doctor started to say, but was cut off by Hopper.

"Hey, jackass, why don't you do us all a favour and shut up, okay?" He snapped, making the doctor shut up instantly.

Lavender soon stood up from her chair, and slowly made her way around the table not once taking her eyes off the pictures. She then stopped when she found what she was looking for, and pointed at it.

"That's it" Lavender simply said.

"That's what? What...what's there, Lavender?" Owens questioned, not really understanding what 'it' was that she was talking about.

"I don't know. I just know he doesn't want me to see there. I think it's important" She answered.

Without much thought, the same group of soldiers suited themselves up and got ready to go into the tunnels. Neither of them knowing what they were in for.

Lavender was moved back to her room, this time Joyce joining her while Hopper stayed back to watch what was going on in the tunnels.

Half an hour had passed, and a sudden feeling flooded through Lavender like a tidal wave. Her pale lips started to quiver, and her eyes began to water.

"I'm sorry" Lavender stammered, making everyone look at her.

"What? What do you mean, angel?" Billy asked, making the girl turn to him with guilt filled eyes.

"He made me do it" She whimpered. Billy slightly stood from his seat, and placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Who? Who made you do what?" He pushed, making her now look up at him.

"I told you all. They upset him. They shouldn't have done that. They shouldn't have upset him" She cried. Billy looked to Joyce with fear in his eyes, not really understanding what she meant. But it seemed that Will and Mike understood perfectly.

"The spy" Mike breathed out.

"The spy!" Will yelled, making the two run out of the room to where all the doctors were. Joyce quickly got to Lavender's side, now taking Billy's place.

"Lavender, sweetie, talk to me. You got to help me understand" Joyce cried.

"It's too late" Lavender sobbed, although she seemed to quickly calm down.

"You should go now. They're almost here" This made Joyce gasp softly, now understanding what she meant.

Mike and Will had quickly come back, after they realised that the monster where there. Mike had grabbed a needle and a bottle of liquid, and looked to the others.

"We need to make Lavender sleep" He suggested.

"What?!" Eddie exclaimed, not at all okay with that happening.

"She's a spy. If she know where we are, so does the shadow monster" Will explained further, making Lavender sit up and glare at the boys.

"He's lying!" She yelled.

"She killed those soldiers. She'll kill us, too!" Mike yelled back. Lavender grew more agitated, as she tried to sit up in the bed but was being held back by Billy and Eddie.

"He's lying! He's lying! He's lying! He's lying! He's lying!" She continued to yell, as she stared into Eddie's eyes.

"Okay. Lav, Lavender, listen. Do you know who i am?" Eddie asked, when she didn't answer he asked more sternly.

"Do you know who i am?"

"You're....You're...You're my brother" Lavender stuttered. The male Munson sighed shakily, then turned to Joyce and gave her a nod. He then looked to Billy, who looked absolutely horrified.

"Billy, help me hold her down" The two pushed her down, as she started to struggle more.

"No! No! No! Let me go! Let go!" She screamed. Her screams grew louder, once Joyce grabbed her arm and quickly injected her with the clear liquid.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry" Joyce cried loudly, and quickly Lavender started to grow drowsy and was out like a light.

Hopper and Owens slammed the door open, and saw an unconscious Lavender. He jumped when he heard a screeching noise, and a banging on one of the doors down the hall.

"We gotta go. We gotta go" The chief said, rushing over to collect Lavender in his arms and ran out of the room with the others close behind him. But they soon had to stop, when they saw a soldier getting attacked at one end of the hall and another soldier shooting at one of the monster at the other end.

Hopper quickly barged onto the room next to him, and gently placed the girl on a table while the others filed in and shut the door. Bob was the first to notice where they were, and saw all the screens showing different sections of the building.

"Oh my god" He breathed out, gaining everyone's attention. Soon the lights started to flicker, then quickly turned off, making the room pitch black.
