About an hour after their conversation, Eddie had come to the house where Joyce explained everything Lavender had told her.

To say he was distraught by the information would be an understatement. As soon as Lavender saw her twin, she basically leapt into his arms and not once did she let go.

Joyce offered for the two to stay for the night, which Eddie agreed to. Before the whole upside down stuff, Lavender would be at the Byers house regularly. So regularly, that they turned their spare room into a bedroom for her to stay in. Eddie had stayed with her that night, and while she slept he stayed awake to keep an eye on her.

When the morning came, Joyce and Eddie were the only ones awake. The male Munson was at the table drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette while Joyce phoned the police station.

"Flo, it's Joyce again.....He's still not there?......Did he get any of my messages from yesterday? Did you give......No, no, i need Hopper. Just tell him to call me the second he gets in. Please" Joyce hung up the phone, and sighed in annoyance.

The sounds of two sets of footsteps were heard, making Eddie and Joyce turn to see Lavender and Will who had obviously just woken up.

"Hey. How are you feeling, sleepyheads?" Joyce wondered, as she walked up to the two and felt their heads. She knew that Will was fine, but she had to make sure. Lavender on the other hand felt unusually cold.

"Not really" Lavender yawned, as she sat next to her brother and rested her cheek on his shoulder. Eddie smiled softly and gave her a kiss on the forehead, but frowned when he too felt how cold she was.

"Hey, uh, Joyce? Is it normal for a person to feel this cold?" The teen asked with concern, looking over to the woman who frowned and walked over to Lavender, and felt her face and forehead.

"Hmm, that is unusual" She said. Joyce walked out of the room for a few seconds, and came back with a thermometer in her hand.

Kneeling in front of the sleepy girl, Joyce made her open her mouth and placed the glass stick in her mouth. They then waited for a few minutes, before Joyce pulled the thermometer out.

"Okay. Let me see" Her frown deepened when she saw the temperature at 95 degrees. Lavender noticed the look on Joyce's face, and became worried.

"Is it a fever?" She asked, making the woman look at her.

"No. Uh, actually, it's cold. Do you feel cold?" Joyce questioned.

"No. I just feel a little out of it. Like i haven't really woken up yet" Lavender explained. She then looked to her brother and Joyce, who both looked concerned.

"You said no doctors, Eds. Please, i don't want to go back there" The girl pleaded, making Eddie pull her into a hug.

"And i meant it, bambi. You know what, I'm gonna run you a warm bath which will warm you up in no time. How does that sound?" Eddie suggested, gaining a small smile in return.

Joyce watched the Munson twins with a fond smile. She always admired how close they were, and she could see how much they care for each other.

While Eddie ran a bath, Joyce went to get the girl some clothes she left behind and a spare dressing gown. Once Lavender had the clothes and dressing gown, the girl got undressed and put on the robe. Lavender then walked to the bathroom, and hesitantly walked towards the bath filled with warm water.

As she stared at the water, she could feel her body start to shake and sweat. Alarms were going off in her mind, telling her not to get into the water. So, Lavender quickly unplugged the water and walked out of the bathroom.
