LEVELING UP
IT WAS A FEW DAYS after the Kang Tae shik incident, and Jin-woo, Jin-ho and Chaerin had entered their first dungeon raid together.
Jin-woo was dealing with the monsters swiftly, Jin-ho was gaping at him while Chaerin was helping with the mining of mana crystals. She wasn’t trying to kill the monsters herself since they helped Jin-woo level up. She remembers clearly that he’d be getting a job quest right now.
But seriously, she was too bored at this point. “Jin-woo! Can I kill a few as well? I’m bored,” Chaerin whined, stretching her arms as she was already done with her side and even did most of Jin-ho’s side.
Jin-woo smiled at Chaerin, stabbing a werewolf monster as he replied, “Sure, help yourself out.”
Jin-ho also stopped doing his work, deciding to see for himself how she looked in action. Even Jin-woo hadn’t seen her fight monsters in a long while.
Chaerin cracked her knuckles and stretched her neck, grinning when satisfying pops reached her ear.
She walked ahead where more monsters were gathering, her fingers swaying in anticipation. The female’s eyes lidded, a soft glow emitting them as the monsters rushed towards her.
“Should I kill them now or…” She glanced at the other two behind her with a sadistic grin. “…Torture them first?”
Right then, a thin, silver thread shot out from a small white portal in her hand, wrapping around three werewolves and cutting their limbs clean off. Blood spluttered out of their bodies a moment later. The other werewolves, perhaps sensing the danger, tried going towards Jin-woo who was already fighting but still trying to look at her.
“Oh no, you’re mine,” Chaerin stated, and in a flash she caught up to two of them. Giggling lightly, she clutched both their heads and smashed them against each other with so much force, blood sprayed on the walls.
“Ahh, I haven’t felt so good in a while since I had a break~!” Chaerin gushed, placing a hand on her blood covered cheek. Her eyes glowed a dangerous violet, her hair floating a bit as she became excited.
She noticed the men looking at her, so she turned towards them and waved with a close eyed smile. Jin-woo’s heart raced, his ears feeling warm as he waved back. Jin-ho, meanwhile, was shuddering in fear.
Oh he was very wrong when he thought of her as nicer than Jin-woo.
Just then a much larger wolf appeared behind the girl, Jin-woo was about to warn her when the wolf fell down instantly.
Chaerin retracted her hand, a dark black dagger in hand, covered in crimson blood. The carbon dagger disappeared immediately, and Chaerin skipped towards Jin-woo who had also finished killing his part of the monsters.
