“HUNTER CHAERIN, that is why we need you for the raid,” Go Gun-hee explained, hoping that at least she’ll agree since Jin-woo had declined easily. The man closed his eyes, preparing himself to be rejected once more but-

“Okay.”

His eyes snapped open to look at the girl in front of him, she looked completely aloof and fine, as if agreeing to go grocery shopping. She was playing on her phone, a lollipop in her mouth. The chairman smiled to himself, ‘She really is quite like a child.’

“Are you sure? It isn’t any normal raid like what you’re accustomed to, Hunter Chaerin,” Gun-hee tried to confirm.

“Yep, I’ll come with so it’s okay. Is Jin-woo outside? I can sense that other S-rank hunters are here as well,” she finally looked up, remembering Gun-hee mention the male’s name. The chairman’s eyebrows rose at her sudden question. Ah young love.

He nodded in answer. “It is good to have you on the team, then. Let’s go outside, he wanted to see the S-rank hunters warming up in the gym.”

Chaerin slipped her phone in her dimensional pocket and followed the chairman, meeting up with Jin-woo outside as well. She crunched on her lollipop, taking out the empty stick and crushing it into tiny bits.

“Did you join?” Jin-woo whispered to Chaerin, hooking his finger with hers.

“Yeah,” Chaerin answered, pushing back her bangs but they fell back on her face. She blew a small strand away with annoyance. “Man, I need a haircut.” It was true, her hair hand overgrown and reaches her hips, too much for her to brush and shampoo.

Upon reaching, they looked at Baek Yoon-Ho and Hunter Ma fighting each other. Jin-woo observed them carefully.

“It is uncommon for S-rank hunters to gather in one place. The energy you sensed earlier is probably from them,” Go Gun-hee told Jin-woo as he too observed the hunters below.

“But hunter Baek Yoon-Ho is getting slightly pushed back,” Jin-woo commented.

“-But if hunter Baek Yoon-Ho were to give his all, hunter Ma Dong-Wook wouldn’t stand a chance,” Choi Jong-in appeared, smiling brightly. “It’s been a while, Sung Jin-woo, Hyun Chaerin.”

The males started conversing, the discussion seemed boring to Chaerin so she chose to continue to observe the hunter’s below. She mentally counted the ones that would die on the Jeju raid, and made a small promise to somehow protect them.

Well, maybe not Goto Ryuji…

“That Kanae Tawata lady looks an awful lot like a certain Yumeko Jabami…” Chaerin muttered to herself thoughtfully.
