Liz's POV
Exactly three days had passed since we arrived at the island. We hadn't started filming yet because they were getting everything ready (the tech stuff I mean). I have to add that I've been keeping a low profile (in other words, avoiding Josh) so he'll think about me and wonder where I am. I know, I'm a freaking genius! There's a reason why Harvard and Yale have been fighting over who I'll choose to attend. But acting is my passion, my life, so I don't see myself going to either of them.
At about 5:30pm I walked down to the hotel's Restaurant and sat at one of the few empty tables which had a nice view of the setting sun above the vast ocean.
"It's beautiful right?" a familiar voice asked.
"Yes" I replied as I turned to look at him and motioned for him to sit down, and he did.
"Haven't seen you around" he stated nonchalantly.
"Didn't think anyone would notice" I said, looking innocently at him, battering my eyelashes. He lifted an eyebrow at me.
"Well, I did" he said simply. Which made me smile at him.
"Good to know someone acknowledges my existence" I answered, staring down at my palms.
"I'm pretty sure everyone notices your existence" he replied softly.
"Yeah I bet. Oh where is daddy's little rich girl, the one that thinks the world revolves around her? She's not here? Thank God!" I did the whole reenactment then forced myself to look sad; even though I hate showing weakness in front of people, I knew the only way he was going to fall hopelessly in love with me is if he sees me as the damsel in distress that he has to rescue and protect.
I turned my head towards the beautiful view.
"I'm sorry" I heard him say. I turned around quickly to look at him.
"Don't be. It's true" I said, shrugging off his sympathy.
"No, I'm sorry because I used to think that about you too" he said slowly.
"Used to?" I asked and he smiled.... his smile was kind of nice.
"Yeah, I don't think you're a bubble head anymore" he joked. I laughed with him.
"Well then you're not as smart as I thought you were" I said with a grin and he chuckled.
"Oh, what a nice way to call me dumb!" he exclaimed. I laugh loudly so I put a hand over my mouth, shocked.
"I'm so sorry, I never laugh like that" I confessed while I felt my cheeks heating up. Wait what? I never blush!
"Oh... good to know" he said with a wide grin on his face.
"Get over yourself" I said and he laughed.
"I don't know what you're talking about" he stated, trying to hide a smile.
"That proves it. You're not that bright" I said satisfied, so he acted offended and I rolled my eyes at him. At that moment, the waiter appeared with the Menus.
"Oh no, thank you sir. I just came down to breathe some different air but I'm going back to my room again, I'm working on something" I added just to peak Josh's curiosity.
"But thank you sweetheart" I said with a smile and giving him a ten dollar tip, then taking my purse on my right hand.
"Thanks for keeping me company. Have a good night" I said towards Josh and gifting him with a genuine smile before walking away...
"Hey, wait up" I heard him yell, right on cue. I turned around to face him.
"So you're just going to leave, just like that?" he questioned and I assented.
"Where you expecting a goodnight kiss?" I asked lifting an eyebrow. He laughed, his face flushing a bit.
"No, but um... I don't know. What are you working on, that it's so important for you to disappear for 3 days?" he asked and I had to literally keep my self from laughing.
"Want me to show you?" I asked slowly, he hesitated for a split second before nodding.
"Okay, let's go to my room" I said and we both walked towards the elevator, and up to the the top floor where my suite was, so I could show Josh what I had never shown anyone in my life...
