Chapter 17

Josh's POV

It had been two days and still I hadn't heard from Liz. Michael, the director, told me Liz was taking a few days off, because that's what her doctor recommended, so the movie was left on standby. It's not like we could keep filming without her, she is the main character....

I was worried about her, I felt stupid for it but that didn't change my worry. 

What if her condition was really bad, because of all the time that has passed since the incident without her seeking for help?

I didn't like not knowing about her, I guess I got used to her really fast.

At noon I decided to go down to the restaurant and eat something; I was wearing sneakers, shorts and a white v-neck and my hair was all tousled.

When I walk through the entrance I didn't have to scan the room to notice a blonde mane of curls at the back, Liz was here? Did that mean she was better?

As I was walking towards her I remembered my words from a couple of days a go. I told her that she knew where to find me, maybe I should wait for her to come to me.

The thought vanished immediatly when I noticed a guy sitting accross from her, he had light brown hair, with light tanned skin and dark green eyes. I felt a little jolt of jealousy and couldn't stop myself from getting to their location. 

"Well hello Liz, it's good to know you're all better now" I said with a fake smile plastered on my face, on the other hand she looked uncomfortable but shrugged nonchalantly. 

"Hey Josh, yeah the doctor said I could get back to work now, even though he's going to keep coming to see me and have some theraphy sessions. I was going to tell you but you know..." she trailed off, her voice soft as silk. 

"But you didn't" I stated coldly, I was angry... a little because I knew it was her pride preventing her from looking for me but mostly because as soon as I see her again she's having lunch with another guy.

"So are you going to introduce me to your friend?" I asked in a deceiving friendly tone. She seemed to get even more uncomfortable than before but she still made the introductions.

"Josh this is Nick Roux, Nick this is Josh Hutcherson" she stated awkwardly. I smiled at the guy who seemed to be enjoying the whole little scene more than he should.

"Pleasure meeting you" I said through gritted teeth, which I'm guessing he noticed becuase his smile widdened. 

"Likewise buddy" he said happily and I literally had to stop myself from smacking the smile off his face. This guy seemed familiar though...

"Have we met before?" I asked slowly and he shrugged.

"Not that I remember, but maybe you've seen my in a tv show or in some movie..." he trailed off and I nodded. So he's an actor too huh.

"I'm guessing you've seen me in movies right?" I asked cockliy and he shrugged again.

"Maybe, you seem familiar too" he replied and I rolled my eyes. Is this guy serious? I'm sure he knows who I am, he's just pretending like he doesn't.

"Well this was very nice and all but I've got stuff to do, have a nice...day" I said towards both of them and without waiting for a response I walked away.

You have to be kidding me, she replaces me in less than 3 days? Maybe I was wrong, and she felt nothing for me whatsoever.... Nick Roux? psht he's not even her type, he seems to be the complete opposite of me. I need to keep myself calm, I need a game plan. If Liz thinks she's just going to walk away from us so easily she's wrong, I'll make sure she comes back to me....all by herself.
