Chapter 18

Liz's POV

"What are you doing?" I asked Nick.

"Me? Nothing. You mean us. We are going to make your boyfriend jealous" he said with a grin. 

"He's not my boyfriend!" I complained for what seemed like the tenth time.

"So not the point" he said waving my words off.

"Fine, but we are not going to make him jealous. He wants to be an idiot and try that on me, then he is more than welcomed to, I really don't care" I stated.

"But you do, my dear Liz. You do care, even if you wish you didn't" he said.

I hate Nick... okay, I don't but he drives me crazy! He's the type of guy that you think doesn't notice the little stuff but he does, and it's a little terrifying how well he actually knows me. I would never tell him that though...

My train of thought was interrupted by the small detail of Nick taking his shirt off. Now talk about distraction...

I quickly looked away, hoping he hadn't caught me staring at those spectacular abs.

When did he became this fit? I remember him being skin and bones. I shook my head and my thoughts and looked up at his face, which had a huge smile on it.

"What?" I asked defensively.

"Oh, nothing.... do I make you nervous?" he asked, trying to hide a smile.

"Of course not" I huffed, indignation in my voice. He laughed and put his hands up in surrender.

"What ever you say babe... I was just asking, you know, just in case" he said with a wink and started walking towards the door.

"Where are you going? Shouldn't you put your shirt on again?" I asked confused.

"Nope. And WE are going to the pool, where the doorman said Josh is at the moment. So please, I know you are all sexy and stuff but can you put a bathing suit on, unless you like skinny dipping..." the last part he said it in a thoughtful tone, as if he was picturing it in his mind.

"No! I'll put a bikini on, give me a second" I said quickly and dashed for the bathroom before he noticed my reddened cheeks.

What the hell is going on with Nick lately? All those comments, trying to make me feel uncomfortable.... I had never blushed because of Nick in all the time I've known him.

After I had changed into my red bikini top and bottom I pulled my blonde curls out of the messy bun I had them on and fixed them down. I put a bit of waterproof mascara and walked out of the bathroom and into the room, where Nick was waiting on my bed. As soon as he saw me he stood up and his gaze traveled up and down my body, but he didn't say anything, he just motioned for me to go out the door first.

It felt weird walking out because I could feels his eyes burning my back but I ignored it and kept my cool.

Once we were out in the pool deck, I scanned the area discretely and casually when I felt an arm circle my waist, and Nick appeared beside me.

"Boyfriend at 10 o'clock" he whispered in my ear, and to make it seem like something else he placed a kiss on my cheek.

"Not my boyfriend" I muttered, hiding it with a fake smile I directed at him.

"Whatever" he said with a smile plastered on his lips.

The he started guiding me towards Josh, who I noticed under my sunglasses that was staring at us with an angry frown on his forehead.
