Liz's POV

"Dad?" I asked, feeling a little lightheaded for a second.

I saw how Josh quickly turned around to face my dad who was still in front of the half opened door.

"I see you haven't changed much.... it's not lady like to be alone in a room with a half naked guy" he said, finally side stepping Josh and entering the room.

"It's not what you think dad, he was just um he" I started stuttering and Josh stepped in.

"I just came to bring her breakfast; she wasn't feeling very well yesterday and was worried about her not eating. I'm really clumsy and spilled the juice on me so I took my shirt off and was about to go to my room and get a clean shirt" Josh said.

Why is he lying for me? He stayed with me the whole night, taking care of me...

"Well, if you were leaving, then you should go and let me and my daughter talk in peace" he said in a dry tone.

My dad was a little scary; tall with wide shoulders and a no nonsense face but Josh seemed unfazed.

"Actually I think I might stay" he stated while taking his juice stained shirt and putting it back on.

I tried to give him a look, warning him that he should leave but he didn't notice....or he ignored it.

"Josh Hutcherson, sir" he introduced himself as he offered his hand to my father. He stared at it for a moment before shaking it with his own.

"Raphael Vega" my father said in return.

"It's a pleasure" Josh said politely, but his eyes were watching my dad with a deep hot intensity so I knew he was lying.

"Likewise" my father lied back at him.

"You're that actor right?" my father made even that simple question sound like an insult.

"Yes, sir. I am" Josh replied proudly and even though I was terrified of my father I had to smile at Josh's guts.

"Hmm" was all my dad did to acknowledge that fact and it kind of angered me.

"I'm an actress too dad, I can't believe you still see this as a dead end profession. It's my life and I'm good at it...so it's Josh, I wish you would respect that" I said a little agitated and my father turned away from Josh and looked at me.

"All you do is embarrass me with every single thing that you do, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in you. You're a girl, why does it surprise me? Once again I have to say it.... I wish I had a son, as smart as me, to follow in my footsteps and take over the family business" he said it easily, it wasn't the first time he told me this, but it hurt just as bad.

"With all the money that you have, you could buy yourself a son....one who is worthy of you" I spat at him, while trying to hold back tears.

"Are you going to cry now? I thought you had stopped that nonsense. What have I been teaching you since you're five?" he asked me and I swallowed the urge to cry and squared my shoulders.

"Crying is for the weak" I said flatly, with no emotion on my voice whatsoever.

"Good, you haven't forgotten" he said cynically.

"Well father, I'm not presentable for you at this moment, if you could give me time to get ready, I would appreciate it" I said stiffly and he nodded at my respectful tone.

"I'll give you an hour" he said in a tone that said there would be no argument about it.

"Fine" I said simply and that was it. He took a last  look at me and then at Josh, shook his head and showed himself out of my suite.
