Gavin's POV

Staring at the screen on my desk has become my everyday routine now for the past few weeks and it helps calm me down from my rages watching my light doing even the most basic things makes me feel at peace, I watched Sunshine wake up and take a shower which was my favorite part of this morning but know she is in the kitchen making herself breakfast this feels right having her safe nand under my control. I want to make things right with her in her eyes. I am this evil monster who sees her as an obsession rather than the love of my life. We didn't have a proper courtship or even real dates with deep conversations like what to name our kids and what sports are they going to do. While watching my light finishing her breakfast there was a knock at the door and my rage came back "who the fuck is it?!!" I shouted, the door flew open and Justin came in with a folder "Well good morning to you too starlight looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed" he chuckled putting the folder down in front of me.

"What is this?" I said pouring a cup of whiskey but noticed Justin giving me a disapproving stare "What?!" I shouted and he threw his hands up "Nothing man I just don't think Sunshine would approve of the day drinking" he said confidently and that was it I saw red and I threw the cup across the room shattering into a million pieces, "What the fuck do you know about MY WIFE?!!?" I shouted in his face and I could tell it did not bother him. Sadly he was used to my temper by now "I know that she does not deserve to deal with your shit Gavin! I mean shit she is a good person who doesn't deserve to be treated like she has... like how your mom was treated, don't become your father" he said sitting down next to the desk and I felt frozen was he right? Have I become my father?.. Sitting at my desk I opened the folder and looked at a map with a circle on a specific location ''What's this exactly?" I sighed already feeling drained, Justin pulled out his phone and showed me a photo of a building "This is the new warehouse and we already have shipments moving through but we need to go check it out" he said but he stopped when he noticed my screen which still had the live video of Sunshine at home he sighed "You know when I went to drop off the groceries you got her, she asked me about you and your past she wanted to understand you more" I said slowly watching my every move "Don't worry I didn't get into to much detail but she wrote you a letter she thought I could send it to you in prison" he chuckles and handed me an envelope with my name written in her handwriting.

I have not felt nervous since I was a child but when Justin handed me this note I could feel my palms getting sweaty and my heart started to pound as I started to open it I was stopped by the sound of my phone ringing I swear I will kill whoever is on the other end, picking up the phone I answered it but before I could yell I was stopped by the voice of the devil himself "Well hello my son I have to say I am very impressed but your warehouse" my father's voice spoke and I felt like that scared little boy trying to protect my mom from his wickedness. I tried my best to protect my mom all through my childhood. I would do my best to revert all his anger and rage to myself instead of my mom. She was too kind and broken. She didn't deserve any of it, "Hello father thank you for noticing it's been a long time, why have you decided to come back?" I said grabbing my keys and my gun heading towards the garage and into my car speeding off towards the warehouse. Hear his sinful laugh I could feel my stomach turn "Well son I heard from a little bird that my son was released from prison so of course I had to come see what you've done with the empire I slaved to give you" he said with such confidence but I chuckled at his insanity I never wanted this empire or life as if I ever had a choice. Walking into the warehouse I see the devil himself standing in the middle of the room barking orders at my men, this is going to be a long reunion.
