Third Person POV

Jace is busily catching up the projects with Jade, Cassy, Ross in table with her while next to their table is Eve and Steph.

"Hi Jace" Maggie approached then placing the folder in the table for Jace "That's the fundraising budget for the upcoming School event"

She didn't mind to look but nodded in response. Jade who's sitting across is smiling while lightly shaking her head "You sure you still have time?" She asked Jace.

"Yep" Jace respond is short. She's running out of time but needs to finish the proposal, she knew she has a lot in her plate but there's no way she's backing off.

And Jade is watching steadily watching Jace being so seriously busy "You know you don't need to tutor Reese. Let Patrick do the job, after all Mr. Waters gave the tasked to him not you" she points.

"She can't deal with boys. You know her situation Jade" Jace replied coldly.

Eve and Steph are listening from their table but very aware that Jace is just making up an excuse to be with Reese and staying everyone away from her.

Jade nodded, partly agreeing not to ignite fire between them "If you say so Miss Vice P"

"Jace. You moved on right?" That question made her stop typing and turned to Ross serious expression towards her.

"Yeah. I'm just worried. she has been through a lot" He squint his eyes but decides to let it pass although part of him is not that convinced. He knows Jace for a very long time but part of him wants to believe his besfriend "I'm not gonna scare her away again like the last time Ross. I learned my lesson. You know that"

They all know what happened 2 years back. Somehow Jace believed that one of the main reason why Reese moved out with her mom in Sydney is because she stupidly confessed when they were hanging out in the rooftop. And after that night, Reese changed. She became distant until she moved with her mom and cut all the connections, not just to her but to everyone.

"Oh yeah I just remember. One of the participants is suggesting the confession booth" Maggie interrupted.

Eve is pleased to hear what's the details so she shifts her body facing them and drumming the table in excitement "Now we're talking!" she chimes.

"So. This is an advantage for those who has secret crushes. The committee will capture your crush, trap both participants in a room without audience of course but blind folded then you can kiss her or him or whatever you want. Top $5" That ignite Eve ideas for her crush. She looked to all of them in full excitement until Jace voice out.

"Do you think it's fair for the victim?" Eve hanged her mouth open, shock to what Jace blurted.

"Victim?" Eve repeats in disbelief "where are we? LAPD?"

But received a sharp glared by Jace.

"Of course we're considerate. The requested person can back out before she enters the room and also we will have security coming from volunteered students" Maggie stated in reasonable factor as they all nodded in agreement.

Jade raise her hand to say "Approved" then smiled to Jace

"I second motion!" Eve exclaimed in wide grins

"But you're not the Vice President" Jace respond in blank expression.

"Come on cousin don't be an asshole!" Cassy convincingly say then turn to Ross, she knew that her boyfriend will support her by agreeing and also looking to Jace in pleading eyes.

Jace looked to everyone, she knew what choice does she have but to agree even though she has doubts on it.

They all cheered after hearing nothing from Jace as she continued typing.

"Great. Now I can arrange announcements to the upcoming activities" Maggie make her way out as everyone starts to gossip about the upcoming events.

Jace hates the idea but she can't stand in defense when everyone eyes is in plea.

On the other hand, Reese was caught sleeping by Ms. Campbell and gave a detention apparently it wasn't late homework to spend but she had to clean the theater room after school hours.

She groaned in annoyance as she walks herself to the auditorium. But the more she complains about the hassle, the more she realize that this is a perfect reason not to attend her therapy session.

Pushing the two door open, a dim light welcomes her with a lot of used props in the stage.

"Shit. I think rather choose sitting and having staring competition to Kelly" she never likes the idea of cleaning because even her room is a disaster.

But then she decides to sit in the center of the stage and do nothing, to let the time passed so she can go home not until she notices movements from the backstage.

Reese standing up to check, Jules is tidying wigs in a mannequin head. Both of them looked surprised of seeing each other "Detention?" Reese speaks out in denial "Jules. You have a detention? I can't believe that you're here and that means you either broke a rule or did something that triggers our teachers"

She speaks freely forgetting that they weren't in talking stage until she realized it at the end.

Jules continued to fix the wig but respond lowly "I forgot doing assignments" which Reese thought is not like Jules, she's always responsible, attentive and a good student.

Reese moved to the side, calculating the atmosphere between them. She misses her childhood friend.

Her thick and thin sister.

She pretends to help by picking used costumes in the floor but couldn't longer bare the silence "I'm sorry Jules"

Jules stop brushing the wig as she couldn't believe that Reese is apologizing, she knows her well, she knows how high her pride is and yet hearing her right now caught her off guard.

"I guess—I felt betrayed that...that you know about Zoey and Jace but you didn't tell me about it" Reese continues.

"What to tell Reese? You never said you like Jace? You even told us how you're not into girls remember? I've asked you billion times and you stick to your answer, to your belief" Jules pointing out "So why are you so angry to me when I set up Zoey to fix her relationship with Jace?" Jules inquires, directly looking to Reese in furrowed brows.

Reese was caught her off guard but Jules already knows how Reese felt yet she respects it when she says that she's straight, although her body language always tells the opposite.

"Because I'm not understanding what happened back there Reese" Jules added "You were so mad to us—to Jace and to me, but for what??"

She waits for Reese answer but all she sees is how hard this looks like to Reese. Clearly, she's confused, still in denial and this things? she already know but she needed Reese to discover it by her own self. To at least admit it.

Reese is like a stone, she's hard headed and really hard to break.
