"I-ugh. This is too much Silver" I tell him, dropping my shoulder in defeat and partly shame that he gave me a full ride to London to surprise Jace.

He smiles before messing my hair which I playfully fake an annoyed glare but eventually giving up in a genuine smile "Thank you Silver"

"You deserve this, besides it's the only way to make you smile because apparently, me isn't enough" I know he meant it as a joke but also, joke is half meant, and I feel sad that quite frankly, the only person I want to see right now is Jace.

"Now. Text your girlfriend where she is" I sheepishly smile then pulled out my phone to text Jace.

Me: Hi :)

I waited for her reply and look to Silver who's wandering around the street of London which neither me can't believe that I'm literally at London. There are so much I want to do and go around with Jace and it is London!

"Maybe she's busy" I say between composing another message.

"Um..isn't that Jace?" I followed his gaze across the street and my heart immediately beats in excitement at the same time thrill of seeing her after a week "call her" he command which I comply.

They stopped at a restaurant, the receptionist is talking to Jade and watching Jace pulling out her phone from his pocket to check.

My heart sank when she put down the phone before proceeding inside the restaurant with Jade smiling next to her before linking her arms to hers.

Did I just witnessed her ignoring my call and text?

It's stupid but it is making my sight blurry in tears "Reese" I smiled bitterly to Silver but try to push down this aching pain.

Wiping the unwanted tears in my cheeks, I say "Why don't we just enjoy London?-what castle is it again? The one Colby visited?" I ask, changing the topic in hope to avert my aching heart.

His face softened, he is just too good to be true of which I'm absolutely hating of why my heart can't turn its feeling towards Silver instead.

1 WEEKS AFTER

Jace: I'm back :)

Her message appears in the notification center and already making my chest tightens in ache. How long has it been? Two weeks since we went to surprise her at London but ending up flying home in pain with a lot of trauma from Wong.

I ignored her message.

First day after school break and I'm already running late "Hey brother I'm gonna ride with Jules, I'm so tired of watching you guys eating each other faces" I say in between of tying my wet hair in high ponytail.

"Hi Reeses" and find my smile slowly fading away by seeing Jace standing next to Ross who's smiling widely as if this is supposed to surprise me with him saying 'surprise' in the way....

But all I can think is how she rejected my call that day. The day where I needed her the most....

Of course she apologized and has her reason. She told me that she was busy with yada yada.

I would believe it in a heartbeat if I was blind but the whole day turned out, I ruined Silver and I plan by finding myself crying in every goddamn hour after deciding to never tell her that I was there.

"Hi" I say, trying to forge a smile but eventually failing so I turn around, pretending to pick up the house key to exhaled the disappointment.
