Edit: I'm currently re-writing some of the story line because I just wasn't too happy with where it was going and I want this book to be more of an honor to Angus' character and how he portrayed Fezco, so please, bare with me🥹)

Recap

Reina smiled to herself, because in the span of a few hours, she had learnt to trust Fezco so quickly. She was scared of that. How could she trust someone she only just met.

He nodded at her words,
"I- i'm gonna get going." Reina whispered to him.
"You sure?" He asked.

"Yeah, i just needed my backpack." He let go of her, handing her her bag.

"Listen, i wanted to apologize for what went down tonight. I didn't mean to drag you into that shit."

"It's okay, I'm not sure why you did it. But during the time I've spent with you, I'm sure you had your reasons for doing it." Said Reina.

The way Reina stared into Fezco's eyes made him feel a certain way towards her.

"I mean, I was just tryna protect my family. And Rue also. She's like family too." Fezco spoke.

"Oh you did it for Rue?" She hesitated before saying anything, "Can I ask what happened?"

"Well it wasn't just for her." Said Fezco, he sighed before continuing, "Since you shares with me, I will with you too."

Reina nodded and watched as he got ready to speak again.

"I sell." He said. Reina puckered her lips as she thought.

"You don't seem all that concerned." He said with confusion but slight relief.

"Well..." she trailed off, scratching her a head a little, "I am too."

Reina watched him intently, he only stared for a few seconds before opening his mouth and closing it again.

"That is a topic for another night." He finally spoke, causing Reina to laugh and nod her head. 

"Anyway, not to long ago Nate Jacobs, that hella tall dude, ratted me out to the feds." Said Fezco.

"Which led to a raid." Reina finished, Fezco nodding.

"I know that must've been rough." Said Reina, "But makes sense why you did that tonight. He put your family in jeopardy." She said, grabbing Fezco's undamaged hand.

"Oh and the thing with Rue, he was being an ass to her and her home girl." Said Fezco.

"You're a really good person you know that?" She said, smiling up at him.

"I think you're the only one who's say that." Smiled Fezco, causing Reina to chuckle.

"Well I should get going, it was really nice hanging out with you." Said Reina.

"You too Reina, can I see you again tomorrow?" He asked.

"Yeah, that would be nice." She said, smiling as she walked off and out the door.
