Recap

Without knowing, she'd fallen asleep on the floor. Her eyes left puffy and cheeks damp.

Through out all of this, she knew Ashtray was her first priority.

And she had to get him as far away from East Highland as she could.

In the morning Reina picked herself up from the floor, and cleaned herself up. Using cold water in hopes Ashtray wouldn't be able to notice the puffiness around her eyes.

After Ashtray woke up, they'd both gotten ready to get breakfast. And as they drove to a nearby diner, Ashtray began to speak.

"Who was that guy?" He asked.

"What guy?" Questioned Reina, her eyebrows furrowing.
"The one in the elevator."

"I thought you were asleep?" She asked, taking a quick glance at him before looking back to the road.

"I was, but I heard someone else talking and woke up," he said, "Who is he?"

"His names Owen, he's someone I knew a long time ago." She said briefly.
"Why did he give you money?" He asked.

Reina sighed, knowing she had to tell the truth.
"He's basically my lifeline." She said, quietly.

"What does that mean?"

"If I need help, he's there. He knows about every single important thing that happens." She said, "He was there when I was moving around and when my dad died."

"And he's here now." Finished Ashtray, "How does he know when you need him?"

"He lives in the area, he's alway nearby if i need him. He always has, since i was 11 at least."

"Why though?" questioned Ashtray, "I mean, we know you can protect yourself, and plus you have me and Fez now."

Reina smiled slightly, but it quickly faded.
"My mom hired him when I was 11, she wanted someone to be there incase anything happened to her or my dad."

"But didn't your mom, like, you know..." he trailed off. Not wanting to bring it up.

"Yea, that's what she wanted." Reina sighed, "She put it in her will."

"So what does he do?" He asked.

"He's kinda like a distant bodyguard. If I need help he'll be there, and if I need something, like money, he can provide that."

"So he's like a sugar daddy?" Asked Ashtray, trying to hide his smirk and giggle.

Reina slapped his head, causing Ashtray to hit her back but having his hand caught by Reina.

"Don't even think about it," she said, " And no! The money is from the inheritance my mom left."

"Does he have, like, an end date? Like when you no longer need him?" He asked.

"I actually don't know, that's information I never got from anyone actually." Reina said, thinking about it afterwards.

During the rest of the car ride, Ashtray had asked questions to understand what would be happening for the next few months while they figure stuff out with Fezco.

It made him feel better knowing they had a plan.

"Oh my god I'm starving." Ashtray said, sitting down at the table.
