"You're the Michael. Her Godfather?" Asked Ashtray.

"Yeah," he said, the memory of when Nadine asked him to be that role in Reina's life, replaying in his head.

"She still talks about me?" Asked Michael.

"Once, a while ago." Said Ashtray.

Michael only nodded as he remembered the last interaction they had, knowing they weren't on the best of terms.

Reina slowly opened her eyes, letting them adjust to the fluorescent white lights that surrounded. She slowly scanned over the room, seeing a someone sitting in the corner.
"You came.." said Reina, her voice weak.

"How could i not?" he asked, "How you doin' kid?"

Reina smiled at Owen, feeling glad he was there.
"I think okay," she said, "But...where's- Where's Ash?"

Owen looked at her with a slight frown.
"Where is he, Owen?" asked Reina again.

"You're gonna have to trust me, okay?"

"What do you mean?" She asked, using her arms to try and lift herself from the bed, "Where is he?"

"Lay down," said Owen, gently pushing her back her down, "He's with Michael."

Reina's eyes widened, looking over at Owen.
"W-what do you mean?" Her eyes began slightly watering.

"They had to take him in for questioning." Said Owen.

"What? What are you taking about?" Reina questioned, "What did he do?"

Owen stared at Reina with concern.
"You really don't remember?"

"Remember what!" She said, her voice frantic.

"Reina, what's the last thing you remember?" Asked Owen.

She blinked a few times, trying to recall what she remembered last.
"We stopped at a gas station and some guy was trying to hurt Ash." Reina explained.

"That's it?"

"I remember getting hit in the head, then blurs of Ashtray. But that's it." She said, her eyes closing, hoping memories would suddenly appear.

"Reina, after the man hit you, Ash..." he hesitated, "Ashtray killed him, he died before police even got there."

Reina's hand found it's way to her mouth as tears began falling.
"No, no no no." She said slowly, crying as she struggled to breath.

"Owen, you have to make sure he's wont get into trouble," she cried, "I'm all he has! I'm supposed to protect him!" Yelled Reina.

"He's going to be fine, he's with Michael for a reason." Said Owen.

"What?" She asked.

"Michael was able to help out him and his brother." He said.

"So does that mean..." she trailed off.

"Everything that happened in Los Angeles, it's gone." He said, "I was able to get rid of anything and everything about Ash and his brother."

"Wait so Fezco, where is he?" Asked Reina.

"I was able to move him on the bail list, but he'll have to stay there for a minimum of a few months since he was an accessory." He explained.

"Thank you Owen, you don't understand how grateful I am for everything you've done for us." She said, tears falling as she reached to hold his hand.

"Yeah no, still not a touchy person," he said, removing her hand as she lightly laughed.

"Michael said he'd bring Ash over here as soon as things get cleared up."

After questioning at the police station, Owen had told Michael he was going to go to the hospital to see if Reina was awake, and in the meantime to try and distract Ashtray untill she was stable.

Michael agreed and ended up taking Ashtray to get something to eat.

They both silently ate their burgers and fries, the sound of slurping being heard every so often from their milkshakes.
"So, how were things before you met her?" Asked Michale, between bites.

Ashtray looked up at him as he finished chewing the bite he took. Deciding to answer or not.
"Different. Me and my brother lived every day like it could be our last, making the best of what little time we knew we had."

"What changed?"

"We met Reina," he said simply, "For both of us, she made life worth living. She has both of us praying for another day, just to be able to see her."

Michael slightly smiled, knowing Reina could make an impact wherever she went.

"Yeah, sounds about right," said Michael, "On 'Bring your kid to work day', Reina came into the police station and was able to make the guys in the holding cell sing a song with her, she was 8."

Michael laughed at the memory.
"Sounds like a time where we'd gone to the movies together and she convinced us to go to watch some kids sing song movie." said Ashtray,
"Led all three of us singing along with a bunch of five and six year olds we were sitting next to."

They both smiled after sharing their own memories of Reina. Michael was glad she hadn't changed. And Ashtray was happy to hear about her carefree life before.

"Ready to head to the hospital?" Asked Michael.

"Yeah."
