The next day, Severus was up in the Owlery back at Hogwarts. He had taken Tom's advice and wrote out a letter to send to Lucius, asking for his help.

He sighed to himself as he read back the letter, hoping that his friend doesn't mind him asking for help when he was still grieving

He sighed to himself as he read back the letter, hoping that his friend doesn't mind him asking for help when he was still grieving.

He tied the letter to the foot of his owl, Tawny. It was one of the courting gifts that Tom gave him a little while ago. As the owl flew away, Severus heard a voice from behind him.

"You wrote it?".

He turns and sees Regulus, nodding, "Yeah, I did. I thought about it and just leaving Lucius grieve after...you know...but Tom convinced me".

Regulus smiles, "As he normally does. Luc is your best friend, he'll understand. And he'll definetly understand how important your wedding is to you and Tom".

He nods, "I know, but-".

"Enough, Severus. It'll be fine. All you need to focus on right now is how to graduate early and on your wedding plans".

Severus rubs his hands on his face, "You're right, you're right. Merlin, I do not need this kind of stress right now, especially from Dumbledore". He smirks form behind his hands, "So how about we talk about your relationship instead?".

Regulus groans, "Oh, you son of a bitch, I really need to start anticipating that".

He laughs, "Maybe we can have a joint wedding".

"I think he'll have a heart attack".

The two friends walks out of the owlery and back down to the Dungeons to get to the Slytherin common room. On the way, they get stopped.

"Mr Snape".

He turns around, "Professor McGonagall. To what do I owe the pleasure?".

She smiles, "I would like to speak to you about your early graduation request".

He sighs, "That's quite alright, Professor. The Headmaster has made his decision very clear".

"Severus, I just want you to understand why we had to come to that decision".

"I understand fine. Apparently getting married is not a viable reason to leave. And apparently my new status means nothing to him. And I have the confidence that I would be able to get the grades required".

She sighs, "Severus, I have complete confidence that you would be able to pass the academic tests. Dumbledore's main concern to us was the reasoning for leaving. He doesn't see how you getting married is a viable reason for leaving school".

Regulus chimes in, "And what's your opinion on this matter, Professor?".

"Well...". She hesitates, "...I protested for you, Severus. I do believe you should graduate early and move on with your life. I know you will do great things no matter what happens".

He smiles, "That's reassuiring to hear, Professor. I just hope that one day he sees it the same way. Because one way or another...I'm getting married".
