After the weekend, Gabriel didn't come to the café for three days. We were considering calling off the mission or changing it. None of us would have thought seducing a guy would be this hard. I just needed to get to his car and apartment and not even that I could manage. Was I really that undesirable? I had never been rejected like this before.  I felt a little offended, to be honest, but it didn't come close to how humiliated I felt. I literally shoved my tongue in the guy's mouth and touched his dick. Well, technically his pants but still. Now I scared the guy off.

Or I thought I did.

The bell above the door started ringing as he walked in wearing his sunglasses. He dumped down in the chair right in front of the counter closer to me than he usually did. I was actually dreading seeing Gabriel again. I had no idea what to tell him. And I argued with Henry about changing strategies. Guys like Gabriel like chasing, and if I hand everything on a silver platter, he would never let me in. Henry didn't agree, but again, Henry was a mature elderly man who appreciated honesty. Guys like Gabriel were looking for adventure. Therefore, I decided to ignore him and not be nice to him anymore.

"Good morning to you too, Laura." He said as I didn't greet him as I usually would do. I still had to get used to my fake name.

"Morning." I answered him shortly and turned around to make his coffee. I could feel him observing me while I was working. Connie was in the kitchen leaving me all alone with him. He was the only one in the café too, which really could've been better...

"Someone got the wrong foot out of bed this morning, huh?" He said. I turned around to face him.

"Nope. Just surprised to see you here." I said and smiled another fake smile.

"Why? I come here every day." He stated.

"I don't know, you haven't been here for days. I thought you might have gotten scared from the other day." I observed him carefully and so did he. He intertwined his fingers while keep looking at me.

"Scared? Of you? Sweety, you are not that important to me." He said and kept staring with these little cold eyes. I sighed and turned around again to finish his coffee. I was not in the mood to discuss with him. I took my time doing his coffee. As I handed it over, I stared at him with the same cold eyes as his.

"Just so you know, I was drunk and would never in my right mind go after a douchebag like you. And you are not that handsome." I said as I placed it right in front of him and pushed the croissant to him. I turned around again and walked to the other side of the counter and started placing the newly baked cookies in the glass holder.

For 5 minutes none of us said anything. In those 5 minutes, Henry was scolding me and saying I could have handled that differently. That I was ruining this other chance I had gotten. I just sighed and kept putting the cookies in place as he was begging me to go and talk to him. I had already decided that Henry's plan sucked so I would follow my own show. Gabriel got up from his seat and I thought he would walk out but instead he made his way over to me.

"When do you have lunch break?" He asked me. I slowly looked up.

"Why?" I was so confused that he even talked to me after what I just said to him.

"Let's eat lunch together." Okay, this guy was either about to have a stroke or was up to something shady. I looked at him shocked.

"What? No." I stopped sorting out the cookies.

"What? You were touching my dick a few days ago and now you don't even want to have lunch?" He said bluntly and I looked around to make sure Connie or the other customers who just came in did not hear that. Henry and the other guys were gasping, they were taken just as back as me.
