Chapter Three

Gabriella's POV:

I have only one day before my birthday.

Since my birthday's tomorrow, am preparing my bag.

When you are a participant of The Games you stay there for a week or so, just till the games are over.

So you have to pack you essentials for the week, but am packing up for maybe a year.

As I pack Lynne and Blake walked into my room.

"Are you packing up now? " Blake asked as he scanned my room.

"Yeah? " I replied with a question.

"Are you sure you're going with the plan of running away? " Lynne asked this time.

"If you want to join me just say it than ask questions! " I said sarcastic.

"Heck no way I'm leaving my family, no Offence. "

"None taken. " I replied and rolled my eyes.

As I pack I saw Blake in the corner of my eyes taking a whiff of my scent from the room.

Ugh, how many times do I have to tell him I don't like him.

"Soo what are you guys still doing here? " I ask while packing.

"Wondering if we can change you mind about your stupid plan to run away. " Blake said.

"Well I've made up my mind and am not having second thoughts. " I said. "Am not gonna be forced into things I don't wanna do. " I added.

"We won't stop you then but if you need anything just call us okay, you know the mind linking doesn't work when you're out of the packs territory. " Lynne said.

I know and that's why am dreading this idea, what if I get attacked by rogues.

"I know. " I said and then zipped my bag close. "I'll really miss you. " I added.

"Me too. " Lynne said and hugged me.

"But I'll be with you till the third game and go you'll cover up for me. " I said.

"Sure." She added.

By that time Blake was not in the room anymore, he knows best than to tell my father my plan.

Okay now am ready.

The car that will take me to the venue is going to arrive in ten minutes.

Lynne is here helping me, we're going together.

"The car's here! " I heard Blake yell from the porch.

I sighed and faced Lynne.

"I guess this is it? " I said.

"Yup, but if you have second thoughts just tell me. " she said.

I nodded and we both made our way to the car downstairs.

We have arrived at the venue but it's dark outside as it's late.

Now we just need to get to know everyone and the Elder who always host this will start the game.

After few minutes we were separated, me, Blake and Lynne.

Then we heard footsteps.

"Welcome to The Games! " we heard the old lady announced. "Last year some of the people who participate found their mates, but some just got bitten by random males. " she added.

"This year the games will be repeated and like always Hunt will be starting first. " she said.

The first game is Hunt, we the girls get an head start.

We have to run before all the males are released and we have to hide. If we get caught we have to fight to avoid being bitten and claimed by someone who you're not destined to be with.

If you have the luck to meet your mate then you bond with them.

Sometimes someone might have marked you before you find your mate.

How sad.

"Now on the count of three you all run for your lives, the ones who got bitten won't participate on the next round and will go home with the male who have bitten you. " she said.

Yup that's how things work.

With my alpha strength and blood am a good target for strong alpha babies.

"Three... "

"Two... "

"One, Run! "

And the race began, everyone transformed into their wolves some just took off like that.

Me, I let Ashley take control and turned into my wolf.

My black and white like wolf ran like she's being chased by rogues and we stumbled upon a bush path.

'We should hide here' Ashley said.

Well it's good but you have to give me control back.

'Sure. '

And I transformed into myself and hide behind the bush.

As I hide there I can hear a lot of girly screams from the ones that have been marked and claws coming out from the ones who want to fight for their prey.

Am just here waiting for the bell to ring round over.
