Pyrex stepped on the stairs of the palace. He heard a few snoring guards around the corner, and some cries coming from the dungeon. It was Aeryx.
The Prince ran towards the wall.-News come late in the dungeon, right? He yelled, just loud enough for Aeryx to hear him and start running towards the small light beam that the opening in the wall let in.
-PYREX!
He fell on his knees, tripping over a decaying arm. The small dragon shook his wings.
-I'm scared...
-If the opening wasn't this high, I'd jump in and save you. Replied the Gray haired fox.
He sat on the border of the stairs, feet hanging in midair, staring down at everyone. Aoi looked up, shaking.
"Arghh, I can't let him suffer like this."
-Hold on a little! I'm sure you'll get out just fine!
"I'm not so sure."
Akai ran towards the light beam.
-It's you, It's you we're worried about! Is it true? Is it true that... you'll be crowned?
Oriole joined the group. The light shined on her hair, lighting the place up.
-I beg for you to go find my love and tell him that I'm still alive!
-I can't, I probably can't even leave the Palace now.
Akai sighed as Xerenade got up.
-Pyrex... Don't die. I swear, if you die, know that AERYX WILL BE SAD.
-Just Aeryx?
-No, but you don't want to make an innocent little kid sad, right?
"Are you even taking this seriously? Maybe I'll die, and I'm only counting on a goddess
that I don't even know if I can trust to save me."Pyrex remembered Cecilia, Yuji and Kai's words. "You want to achieve your goal, but you don't do anything to accomplish it."
He clenched his fists.-It's fine! I won't die, alright? I'm going to find a way. But I suck at making plans, so I don't know how exactly. I just know that I'll. find. a. way. Don't worry.
Aoi looked up with his shiny blue eyes. He was clearly still shaking, but he looked slightly more hopeful than before.
-That's more like it! Smiled Xerenade. I wish I could be up there and kick that Chikara guy right in the knee.
-You can't save us. Let alone saving yourself... Said Aoi in a sad tone.
"I don't think I can even save myself alone, but I still want you to believe that I can."
Xerenade crossed her arms.-Come on, Mister Aoi. Your guy's tryna be optimist for once, don't let him down.
-He probably doesn't even care. I could tell he wasn't even trying when he arrived to save us. And he said that you should give up on saving us from prison because if he was arrested he wouldn't have to die. That's lazy.
"I couldn't save you because I was injured, and I only got injured in the first place because I tried to save you the first time!"
Xerenade sighed as Pyrex got up.-I'll save myself, then I'll save you, and then you'll take back all that!
The Kitsune ran up the stairs. He walked in on Prichra, half asleep.
-Hey? She said, unhappy.
-Hey.
He grabbed the blue roses on the other couch. As he was about to sit down, his mother arrived.
