Chapter 22

Pyrex opened the doors with a loud 'BANG' before everyone turned back.
The "king" walked down the stairs and hugged his mother and siblings.

-I did it! For real, this time. I'm going back to Solisel now!

Oliver and Prichra smiled while Aura jumped in happiness.

-I knew you'd do it!

His mother, although, seemed mad.

-You're the king and you leave? Can I know what's going on with you four? It's really annoying not knowing what you're all talking about.

-It's nothing, mom! Smiled Pyrex nervously before waving at them quickly and rushing back inside.
He ran to the iron door and pointed to a guard.

-You, could you release four people for me? Two bloodthorns, a dragon, and a girl with black hair?
The guard turned around.

-Alright... they are with girls named Kouraiuguisu Hisako and Melisma Lorela... do I bring them out too?

-Yes, of course.

The guard opened the door and took all six out. They looked awfully depressed and sick. Aeryx fell on his knees and Aoi was shaking in fear, refusing to walk.
-Hey, I did it! I saved everyone!

Xerenade automatically cheered up and jumped on Pyrex.

-I knew you'd be able to! Are we going back home? Everyone is complaining that they are hungry and I think Hisako died once.

-I think I definitely did... Sighed the kirin.

Aeryx held Pyrex's leg as Aoi and Akai were shaking, their eyes on Pyrex, not saying a word. Lorela wasn't even conscious.

"Aoi, aren't you proud of me?"

Pyrex walked over to the bloodthorn. Even despite his friend being a full head taller than him, he did his best to hold his shoulders.

-You're safe now, I'll take you back to Solisel. It's all fine.

Aoi didn't reply.

-What's wrong?

Pyrex grabbed the two bloodthorns' hands, who both simultaneously blushed. Aoi smiled.

-You're for real?

-Yeah? We're really free? Is the portal thing fixed? Asked Akai.

-I can ask a guard to fix it.

The two jumped on him. The Kitsune almost fell on the ground.

-I don't ever want to go into this dungeon ever again, Pyrex... whispered Aoi.

-Me neither... Sighed his sister.

Hisako, who held Lorela in her arms, Looked at the friends.

-We'll be staying in Kitsuneyō. I guess this is goodbye.

They all turned back.

-Oh, it's been nice knowing you two! Replied Xerenade, who was still smiling.

-Bye. Said Aeryx.

-Okay, direction Solisel, Am I right? Asked the maid, turning back towards the others.

-Yep! Replied Pyrex, turning back to see Aoi smiling at him.

He smiled back, walking towards him. Aoi put his arm around Pyrex's shoulders again. Akai looked at her brother strangely, as if she was mad at him, but she turned back and walked with Xerenade and Aeryx.

-I missed you. Whispered the Kitsune.

-I also did, you know. Being in prison was my worst nightmare. Let alone an infected one...
