I approached the Eiffel Tower slowly, so as to not bring any attention to myself.  As I took my cautious steps, my knuckles began to turn white from the way I was anxiously gripping the gun as though it were the only thing keeping me alive, and in many ways it kinda was.  I was going to do it, I would take my revenge, I would finally bring this to an end.  As I neared my destination, it slipped into view.  The motherboard.  The moon shining down brought me back to the events that lead up to that letter in my hand and that quest in my heart.

I stared out my window at the tulips, feeling very fortunate to live this close to the popular flowers that drew in tourists from all over when it came their time of year to bloom.  It was deathly silent outside, odd for this time of day, especially during this time of year.  I was desperately curious so I decided to check it out.  I threw on my jacket and stepped past the threshold.  It remained quiet until I noticed a large mob begin to stumble toward me.  As I observed them, I quickly realized I was not looking at people, but zombies.  I rushed to my motorcycle, getting on and driving away as fast as I could.  As I drove, the bright sunny day shifted to an ominous clear night sky so black it reassembled the dark feathers of a raven.  I saw the light from the occasional house reflect off of the dirt road, and I would've been remiss to not mention the buffalo roaming in the pens adjacent to the road.  I stopped abruptly, "Where am I?".  As I realized I didn't know where I was, I looked ahead and felt my heart stop.  Somehow I had ended up back here.  I parked my bike and strode up to the arch, pausing for only a moment before entering the cemetery.  I knew the place like the back of my hand, and soon arrived at her headstone, feeling my grief return just as strong as when I had first received the news.  She hadn't deserved to go yet.  As I grieved I noticed a plastic Ziplock bag poking out of the ground.  When I tugged it free I saw the letter inside.  I freed it from its plastic prison, and tore open the paper envelope.  "Hey babe, I know you're the one that will read this.  No one else showed up to my funeral did they?  It's okay, I expected that.  When my family disowned me, I was devastated, but I was sure it would be worth it, for you.  I was right of course, in the end; the best years of my life are the ones I spent with you.  I know you will miss me.  I will miss you too.  Even though my family disowned me, I still have access to my... abilities.  I see a zombie apocalypse, you the only thing stopping it from consuming the world.  The virus causing this epidemic, is sourced at the Eiffel Tower.  You must go and destroy the motherboard.  You must do this for humanity as a whole, for it is at stake.  Now go my beloved, I love you." I finished the short paragraph, and sobbed quietly, unable to do anything but stare at the signature that adorned the bottom of the letter "love, Daisy".  It was unmistakably hers.  I pulled myself up and paced away from that old effervescent sycamore.  I knew then what I had to do.
