This road trip is going to be awesome. It’s been in the works for quite a while now. My family doesn’t travel often so I’m particularly excited to have this experience with my friends. We’d initially planned to go the first wednesday of summer break, last week, but there had been a heavy thunderstorm warning from that day into the weekend. I double checked the trunk for water, food, and campfire supplies. I slammed it shut and took a final glance at the clear, blue sky before climbing into the car and assuring everyone we were good to go.
