The star actor stood impatiently tapping their foot, the flared ends of their bell-bottoms swaying with the movement. The script supervisor passively snapped the slate from where he stood next to the camera and the microphone. Most of the cast and crew was dawdling by the refreshments table, snacking on the appetizers as they waited. My patience is starting to run low with him. I tell him to, “Knock it of!” for what feels like the millionth time just today. I find solace today being our last day filming stunts. After he’s gone tomorrow, I’ll finally be able to simply call, “Quiet on the set!” to get it once again.
