Jennie

Lisa lets go of my hand as the car rolls to a stop and I hear her mess with the gear shift. "We're here." I hear her unbuckle her seatbelt and open her door which prompts me to unbuckle my seatbelt and reach for the blindfold.

"No, keep it on!" she instructs and I let out a groan of frustration, ready to figure out what the surprise is already. Her car door slams shut and seconds later, mine is opened. "Come on, Jen." she says, surprising me by hooking an arm behind my back and the back of my knees.

I let out a little noise of surprise and instinctively loop my arms around her neck, causing her to laugh. She shuts my car door with her hip and carries me a short distance before placing me on my feet. She stands behind me, with her front pressing against my back as her arms loop around my waist. "Ready?" she asks, with her breath tickling my ear as her chin rests on my shoulder.

I nod and her arms let go of me to remove the blindfold. It takes a moment for my eyes to adjust to the sunlight after not being able to see for a while. After a few blinks, my eyes focus and I gasp. In front of us is an old 1900's stone house that looks like a castle. The large four storey structure is simply beautiful. The architecture is stunning with small turrets, crenelations, and gables. I take a look around to view all the greenery and flowers. It's beyond beautiful now that the large trees on the property are starting to turn colours, with red, orange, and yellow leaves scattering about in the light fall breeze.

"What is all of this?" I ask Lisa, feeling slightly overwhelmed by all the beauty surrounding us.

Her face breaks into a smile. "It's called Jennie's Castle."

I laugh. "Shut up, no it's not."

"I swear."

"Say scouts honour." I challenge, making sure that this isn't a bluff.

She grins, leaning in to place a kiss to my lips. "Scouts honour."

Lisa takes my hand, while leading me up the pathway to the stairs.

"You still want to be a princess, right?" she asks, referring to my old childhood dream that my family, especially Suga, still teases me for it.

I smile, while nodding my head as we finish climbing the stairs and stand under the archway in front of the large wrought iron door. There's a sign off to the side that indeed labels this place as Jennie's Castle.

"How did you find this place?" I marvel.

"Well honey, the internet is a wonderful thing." she says, causing me to roll my eyes. "I just so happened to Google 'Things to Do in Nebraska' and this place popped up. How could I not bring you here?" she muses.

"Ready?" she asks, while reaching out for the door handle.

I eagerly nod and she opens the door, letting me walk in first. I'm instantly greeted by the smell of flowers and my breath catches in my throat when I walk in and see nearly every inch of the high ceiling, with dark mahogany wood finished foyer covered in white daisies, my favourite flower.

I do a 360 observation of the room, taking in all of the elegant woodwork and trim, the antique wallpaper, and the stain glass windows. This place is stunning, and the white daisies scattered about make it even more magical. Even the elegant and sweeping staircase is covered in garlands of daisies, along with the beautifully carved mantle.

"Lisa." I breathe out, at a loss for words. "This is..." I trail off, while shaking my head in disbelief.

I turn around and instinctively my hand flies up to my mouth as I gasp once more. I find Lisa a few feet in front of me down on one knee, and a small black velvet box rests in her hand.
