Chapter - 11

"W-why are you s-suddenly talking about h-h-him?" Jungkook stuttered badly, hearing V's name all of a sudden.

"So you've heard about him.I bet, you also don't know how he looks like." Taehyung mumbled, nodding his head as I understanding something deep.

Jungkook gulped, shaking his head in denial.It was obvious that he has never seen how Kim V looks like.No-one has.

He was confused why Taehyung started talking about V, the ruthless mafia leader all of a sudden but one thing was sure.He wasn't liking the way Taehyung was behaving, let alone the topic he started questioning him about.

"What if I say you're lying?" Taehyung looked at Jungkook with his dark, sharp eyes as if challenging him to deny him again.

Jungkook's heart dropped as he looked at Taehyung with scared eyes.He didn't want Taehyung to behave like this.It was hurting him.Something about the elder's aura was telling him to just go away from there but he refused.He refused to give in to his fears just yet.He wanted to know what Taehyung was trying to imply by his sudden series of questions.

"You're lying Jungkook and who can know it better than me, the man you think you don't know." Taehyung continued, looking at the younger in front of him with an emotionless expression.He looked cold, distant even....He looked heartless....just like people explain about him.

Another sob left Jungkook's mouth as realisation hit him hard like a truck.Taehyung wasn't lying.He IS the mafia leader everyone is scared of, the mafia leader Jungkook didn't want to ever come across!

Now that he thinks about it, his doubts weren't wrong.All the warnings he had been ignoring till now came back to him with full force.Taehyung living alone at a place away from human population, the security guard, Taehyung's dangerous aura, the bullet.....Everything makes sense now.

Taehyung stared a the boy in front of him who looked broken.The boy literally spaced out instead of screaming on the top of his lungs and running away.He saw how Jungkook's doe eyes were releasing tears while the boy sat there, frozen.It was too much to take in.So Taehyung just sighed, looking away from the younger who is probably regretting meeting him.

"Why me?" Jungkook's small, shaky voice made Taehyung look at him in confusion.

"Why are you revealing your identity in front of me?" Jungkook asked, looking directly at Taehyung's eyes which widened in the sudden, unexpected question.

"Because I think you should stay away from me." Taehyung replied, gulping the pain away that irrupted inside his chest.He looked away, trying to suppress the suffocation he felt after blurting out those words.

"What if I say it to my hyung who's a police officer, in case you want to know." Jungkook said, frowning as he looked towards his lap.

"He can do nothing against me.Moreover, you won't dare to confess that you've been visiting me, the one you're complaining against for months by now." Taehyung replied, looking at Jungkook intensely.He was trying to find out why Jungkook was asking him questions instead of going away.

"You are different than I imagined you to be." Jungkook said in a hushed tone as if he has lost all the energy he had just a few minutes ago.

"What?" Taehyung who was caught off guard by the boy's words asked, feeling anxious.

What does Jungkook mean by different than he used to imagine?

"People say so many things about you.None of t-them is good.I-I don't know but I thought they could be true?But you never matched with the person people talk about.That's the reason I didn't doubt you....not until I saw the b-bullet in your drawer.I still could never imagine that you are him.You are Taehyung who doesn't look like the V, normal people's worst nightmare." Jungkook's voice was a mere whisper but Taehyung heard it all.
