Chapter - 17

"Taehyung!"

The tears Jungkook was trying to hold started to flow as he looked at the elder with a pained expression.If he was feeling that painful just by listening to it, then how did Taehyung go through all that alone?

Taehyung stared at the boy in front of him who was sobbing while looking at him.He couldn't believe someone was crying for him, Jungkook was crying for him!

"Hey...shhh....don't cry." He mumbled with a soft tone as he pulled the crying younger to his chest.A sigh of relief left his mouth when he felt Jungkook hugging him back with his shaky hands.

"L-let it all out, Tae." Jungkook mumbled, snuggling more into the elder.He wanted Taehyung to talk to him about the things he has never shared with anyone.He wanted Taehyung to feel at least a bit better!

Taehyung sighed yet again when he heard Jungkook's shaky voice.He wasn't sure if he should continue telling the younger about his life anymore but still he decided to let it all out.He pulled the boy into his lap and caressed his back to calm him down before he started talking again -

"The next time I woke up, I was in my apartment.Turned out, it was Choi uncle who took me there.He said that everyone was dead by the time he reached the Kim mansion.I was the only one whose slight pulse still could be found.He feared whoever attacked us would try to kill me immediately if they come to know about my state.So he took me back to my apartment and treated my wounds.

He wasn't that experienced himself but he had enough knowledge to treat an wounded person since dad trained him to protect me from outsiders.After seeing my whole family dead, he wasn't in his best state but he tried to apply all his knowledge just to keep me alive and I lived, to my own surprise.

It was so unfortunate that the bullet which pierced through me missed my heart just by a centimeter or two.It took me one complete week to gain consciousness after Choi uncle managed to remove the bullet from my chest and treated my wounds.

I woke up and the very next moment, I got to realise that I was an orphan.I didn't have my parents, my family members by my side anymore.The news channels were still showing news about my family.They were even stating facts about me whom they've never seen before.They were trying to state facts that I could be dead or kidnapped by the killers.Only if they knew.......

I was traumatized for almost one year after whatever happened.I wanted my late parents to feel proud of me.So I continued school but I attended online classes that time.Choi uncle made sure to keep me hidden from the world, at least until I become capable enough to save myself from others.

After two years, I went to Finland to attend college.I didn't want to leave the place where I had all the memories with my family but I had to obey Choi uncle.He was the only one I had after all.I stayed there for three years and studied hard.I wanted to take everything my father's so called best friend took from him back by working hard.I wanted to come back so that I can seek help from the police and take legal action against Lee.

But when I came back, I got the biggest shock of my life.I was declared dead even though they didn't find my deadbody.I was devastated but I tried to fix everything.I went to meet the commissioner of police who used to bey father's friend.The man asked me to hide for a few more days until they take Lee and his men down.I listened to him but later realized how foolish it was of me to trust him.

Just two days after I met him, Lee entered my apartment forcefully along with three of his men.Unlike the last time, this time I fought him properly.Thanks to all types of martial arts classes I took during my college years.I did it just to vent out my frustration but it helped in that situation as well.While fighting, I failed to see Lee firing his gun at me from my backside and when I came to know about it, I was too late.Choi uncle took the bullet for me.

It was my first priority to save him.I already took Lee's men down.So it didn't take me much time to take Lee down as well.I left him there, unconscious still not knowing how he got to know about me.Then I called the commissioner of police, asking him to help me to save Choi uncle but that cunning man fooled me again.Instead of sending medical help, he sent his team asking them to arrest me for being a fraud and trying to mislead the police.

I couldn't save Choi uncle, Jungkook.

I lost my only family that day!"

A teardrop rolled down Taehyung's cheek as he stopped speaking.By the time he finished explaining, Jungkook was a crying mess.He couldn't even imagine what Taehyung had to face in such a young age.He felt glad that he decided to stay in the elder's life.The life Taehyung lived from the last few years is something he can't even imagine of...

"While I was dying inside for losing Choi uncle, I was being thrown into the prison for being someone I was not.They thought it was the end for me."

Jungkook bit his lower lip as he stared at Taehyung's now dark eyes and the hard expression on his face.His heartbeat raised as he listened to Taehyung without interrupting...

"There, in the prison, I met Wang who was the most wanted mafia of that time.He was arrested the very same day as me.Fortunately for me and unfortunately for those who betrayed my trust, he turned out to be my cell mate.Where everyone thought he'd kill me to show his dominance, anger and power, he did the exact opposite.

He seemed genuinely interested in my life.When he came to know about me, he asked me to work with him and promised me to help to get revenge from Lee.When I didn't believe him, he told me that once my grandfather saved his life and he wanted to help me for the sake of him.

Of course, I still didn't believe him but I accepted his proposal because I had nothing to lose and I had to take revenge from many whom I could never take down all alone.

Few days later, Wang's men helped him to escape the prison and to my surprise, Wang didn't leave me behind.He took me with him and trained me to be someone I never even thought of turning into.For some reason, Wang preferred me over everyone.My opinions, my wellbeing everything mattered to him.

Day by day, I also started trusting him.After all, he was the one who helped me to stand tall even after all the mess I went through.Soon enough, we grew close.Wang was not a family man.So later when he decided to retire from his position, he announced me as his heir, the next ruler of the mafia world.I couldn't deny Wang, not after everything he had done for me.Also, Wang was a man of principle, he never killed any innocent no matter what it takes.So I accepted what I was given."

"And that was the day, Kim V was born!"
