During the night, while Glimmer was sleeping, Adora silently wore her armor. Then she lit a lantern and sneaked out of the tent.
"I'm sorry, Glimmer" she whispered before walking into the Whispering Woods to find a way back to the Fright Zone.
Kowl followed her into the woods.
Adora used the fork she was given to eat to mark the trees along her path, so she wouldn't get lost.
"What if I'm taking the wrong decision? Why did Hordak lie to me?" Adora was talking to herself.
"Who?" She heard Kowl bubular from the tree she just market.
"Hordak. The leader of the Horde, my mentor" Adora said "What am I doing? Now I'm talking with animals!" .
She continued to go deeper and deeper into the Whispering Woods, and Kowl kept following her.
After she marked another tree, she saw the mark she already left on it.
"I'm walking in circles!?" Adora got angry and stabbed that tree with the fork.
"I'm such a fool. . ." She murmured once she stopped.
"Hoot-Why?" Kowl asked.
"Because I have so many doubts, but instead of taking a moment to think on what I should do, I'm walking in circles inside these woods" Adora admitted.
"Then don't walk! Sit down and think" Kowl said with an imperious tone.
"I don't know were I am! And just sit here and wait for some creature to attack me doesn't sound like the best idea!" Adora argued.
At that point she realized she could understand what the owl was saying.
"You can talk!?" Adora exclaimed.
"Don't you?" Kowl replied.
"But I'm a person and you're an animal! I mean, do you talk with Bow and Glimmer as well?" Adora asked.
"No. I understand what they say, but they don't understand me" he shrugged with his wings.
"How is this possible? Was it the blow on the head that I recived when the house collapsed?" Adora was more confused than before.
"Hoot-who knows? Anyway, it's nice to talk with someone that's not a horse" Kowl smiled.

Bow was awakened by the nitrites of Arrow. He looked inside Glimmer's tent and saw that Adora wasn't there.
Bow gently shook his friend to wake her up.
"Good mording, Bow" Glimmer yawned.
"It's still night, Glimmer. Adora is gone and she took her armor with her!" Bow said.
"What!?" Glimmer quickly stood up.
"We should have tied her to the bed" Bow grumped.
Glimmer ran out of the tent and his friend followed her.
Arrow was pointing with his head in the direction of the Whispering Woods.
"You think she went there alone?" Glimmer feared.
"She looks like the type of person who would do something like that" Bow said.
"We have to find her! These woods are a dangerous place!" Glimmer begged him to help her find Adora.
"Why are you so worried about her?" Bow asked.
"Because I don't believe she's a bad person. She was taught the wrong things, but I think she's starting to realize what the Horde is really doing" Glimmer said.
Bow didn't agreed with her. He didn't trust Adora, and the fact that she left them didn't help change his mind.
"Okay, I'll help you find her. But if we do, we'll treat her as a prisoner" Bow established.

"Maybe I've always been able to talk with animals, but since I've never seen one before I didn't know" Adora was saying while walking aimlessly in the woods.
"Uh-hum" Kowl was perched on her shoulder, and he was starting to regret he have followed her.
"We don't have pets in the Fright Zone, but we have some animal-hybrids. There's Leech, Grizzlor, even Catra could be considered an animal. She isn't, but she acts like a cat. That's why we named her Catra when we were kids" Adora explained.
"Hoot-How interesting" Kowl answered, rolling his eyes.
After babbling for a while, Adora finally found something that wasn't a tree.
She descovered a tower made of rocks.
"Is this some kind of cave? Or a bunker?" She questioned.
The form of that place wasn't natural.
"I have no idea. I've never seen this thing before" Kowl left Adora's shoulders to fly around the tower. He tried to land on a ledge, but this broke from the rest and fell down.
"Adora! Watch out!" Kowl warned her about the rock that was about to fall on her.
Adora covered her head with her arms, but nothing happened.
"What?" She looked up and saw that the rock was in suspension right above her.
"Are you doing this?" Kowl asked.
"No! How would I?" Adora replied.
The rock re-attached itself to the tower.
Adora threw a pebble and this remained attached to the other rocks, like a piece of metal to a powerful magnet.
"This reminds me of a game I used to play with my friends" Adora said.
"You threw rocks as a game?" Kowl questioned.
"It was that or 'See who gets closer to Shadow Weaver's room'!" Adora said, as if Kowl knew who she was talking about "But what's the reason behind this?" .
Adora touched the structure with her hands, to feel if there was something metallic, but it was just stone.
The tower started to shake.
Still allerted after what happened at Thaymor, Adora backed away and crouched. Instead of crumbling down, the tower openned a passage from the stone she touched.
Adora was surprised by a gust of warm air when the passage openned.
She used the lantern to light up the entrance.
"Are you going in?" Kowl asked, flying back on her shoulder.
"I shouldn't" Adora said.
"But you're going anyway" The owl guessed. He took Adora's confident smile as a yes.
And so they went inside that mysterious tower.
"Are you sure this isn't an abbandoned base of the Great Rebellion?" Adora asked to Kowl, keeping the lantern in front of her.
"No one in the Great Rebellion uses rock magic" Kowl answered.
"Well, it wasn't built by the Horde either. I think. . ." .
Adora and Kowl found a room with a mound of dirth, which had a sword coming out of it.
Adora got closer to the sword and stepped on something that made a loud 'crack'.
She looked under her foot and when she saw the bone of an arm, she screamed.
"We shouldn't be here! This place is probably cursed! Let's get out before we lose a wing or an arm too!" Kowl panicked and flew to the exit of that room.
"Yes! I've already risked my life enough for one day!" Adora agreed to leave that place.
But when she turned around, the sword shined a green light and she froze.
"What are you waiting for!?" Kowl was waiting for her.
Adora looked again at the sword. She got closer to it once again, ignoring the bones craking under her feet.
"Don't! Hoot-Who knows what will happen!" Kowl warned her but Adora didn't listen.
She touched the hilt of the sword and the weapon shined a dazzling blue light.
Adora stepped back for the surprise.
The light started to bounce around the room, flashing next to Adora and almost hitting Kowl.
That blue light shaped into the figure of a falcon and then it returned to the sword.
A woman with white hair and a blue dress appeared like a ghost.
"Hello, Adora. I'm so glad to finally meet you" the woman greeted her.
"How do you know my name?" Adora asked, bewitched by that strange beauty.
"I know more than just your name, Adora. I'm the Sorceress, guardian of the Castle of Grayskul. I've been waiting so long for you to find the sword of protection" she said.
"Sword of protection?" Adora repeated.
"It belongs to you, my princess" The Sorceress bowed to her.
"Princess!?" Adora shouted "I'm not a princess! I'm from the Horde!" .
"You're Adora of Grayskul, princess of the kingdom of Eternos on the planet Eternia, and in part heir of the sword of Grayskull" the Sorceress explained with a calm voice.
"In part? What do you mean?" Adora questioned.
The Sorceress told her that her sword had a missing half, which belonged to her brother.
"With the sword of protection, that now I'm using to communicate with you, you'll be able to unleash an amazing power and become the warrior She-ra".
"This is too much for me. . ." Adora's stomach was upset "I've descovered so many things today. First of all, the Great Rebellion is in the right side of this war. Second, I can talk to animals. And third-! I'm from another planet?" Adora looked at the Sorceress, who was patiently waiting for her to collect her thoughts.
"You probably have a lot of questions to ask. With the sword you'll always be able to contact me when you need answers. Take it, Adora" the Sorceress smiled before desappearing inside the gem on the sword.
The room returned to be dark.
Kowl perched again on Adora's shoulder and hugged her head with his wings.
When Adora felt ready, she took the sword out of the dirt.
"Adora of Grayskul" She mumbled and the gem on it shined a green light for a second.
Adora slowly walked out of the tower.
"What are you going to do now?" Kowl asked when they were back in the woods.
Adora took a deep breath with her nose.
"I have no idea. . ." She exhaled "I'm more confused than I was before" Adora was feeling exhausted.
She sat on a soft bush that looked perfect for a nap.
"I need some sleep. Tomorrow I'll see what I'm going to do" she said, holding the sword close to her.
"Sounds good to me" Kowl used a big leaf as a blanket to cover her. Adora quickly fell asleep for how tired she was.
