Chapter 10 Glimmer's pet (part 1)

Shadow Weaver was in her room, moving her hands above the steaming cauldron.
She made the steam go on the wound she got when Lohni blasted her. That helped made the pain go away.
"That's better. . ." The woman sighed, touching the part where she got shot.
Catra was with her. She was about to recive something very important from Shadow Weaver.
"Since your last encounter with the rebells didn't go how we wanted, I thought you could use a little help" the woman showed her a red mask "I casted a spell on it. When you wear it, you can transform in a ferocious panther" .
"Really!?" Catra was about to take the mask, but she had a doubt "Wait, you've always told me that my cat-like behavior was problematic" .
"I did. But thanks to my magic, we can make something good out of your flaw" Shadow Weaver said.

Catra borrowed a flying scooter to get to Bright Moon's castle.
"Are you sure about this plan, Catra?" Scorpia asked through the communicator watch.
"Absolutely!" Catra answered with the mask on her head.
She was so excited to use it.
"Okay. Just be careful" Scorpia said with a worried expression.
Catra left the scooter behind a bush, then she climbed a wall of the castle to reach the window of a room.
"Adora will have a big surprise!" Catra grinned. She put the mask on her eyes and transformed, but something wasn't right. She looked at her paws and they were smaller than she expected.
"What?" Catra jumped on a beauty case to look in the mirror.
Shadow Weaver's magic didn't work as it should have and instead of a panther, Catra was transformed into a regular size cat. Her communicator watch slipped from her small wrist.
"What am I going to do now!?" Catra cried, holding her fluffy tale.
She heard the door opening, so she took the watch with her mouth and hid under the beauty case before Glimmer walked in. Catra wasn't in Adora's room, she was in Glimmer's room.
The princess went to sit in front of the mirror and she accidentally hitted something with her foot. She knelt next to the beauty case to see what was under it. That's when she found the cat.
"What are you doing here, little one?" Glimmer grabbed the cat by her scruff and held her in her arms "How did you get in here? Did you climb up the window?" She asked, scratching her belly.
Catra didn't know what to do or how to feel about reciving pets from her enemy.
"You're shaking. Are you cold?" Glimmer took the blanket on her bed and wrapped the cat with it "Better?".
Catra meowed. She thought that as long as she kept pretending to be a normal cat nothing would happen to her.
Glimmer walked out of her room to find her friends.
"Bow, Adora, look what I found in my room. She was hiding under my beauty case" .
"We have a little spy, huh?" Bow joked, scratching the cat's chin.
Catra was petrified by all those cuddles.
Adora was looking at her suspiciously. There was something about that cat she didn't like.
"I think she looks weird. Why is she wearing a mask?" Adora questioned and Catra hissed at her.
"Oh-oh! I know why you're in a bad moon. You're probably hungry" Glimmer said.
The princess brought Catra to the kitchens of the castle, to find something she could give her to eat.
When Glimmer finally let her down, Catra came out of the blanket and jumped on the forniture.
There was a glass bowl on the cabinet in which Glimmer was rummaging. Catra jumped on it and started pushing the bowl, to make it fall on Glimmer's head.
In that moment, Adora walked into the kitchens and saw what the cat was doing.
"Glimmer, watch out!" Adora pushed Glimmer back and saved her from the bowl that shattered on the floor.
"Thank you, Adora. That was a close one" Glimmer said relieved.
"Did you see what she did? She tried to hurt you!" Adora exclaimed, looking angrily at the cat.
"She didn't do it on purpose. Cats just love to push things off" Glimmer explained, walking up to the cabinet. Catra jumped in her arms and cuddled up to her like nothing happened.
"See? She is not dangerous" Glimmer said to Adora, who kept looking suspiciously at the cat.

During the day, Catra tried to harm Glimmer in other ways.
When she was in the stables to help Adora brush Spirit's mane, Catra scratched another horse, making it freak out. Adora was able to calm down the horse before it could hurt Glimmer. During the accident Catra was pretending to be innocently licking her paw.
After that, Glimmer and Adora were sitting next to the fountain of the castle, feedind the swans.
Catra took a piece of bread with her mouth and put it in Glimmer's hair.
The swans started to bite the princess hair to get the bread. Adora threw it away, so the swans left Glimmer alone. Catra happily watched the scene from the bench.
Later, Glimmer was back in the castle, carrying a heavy box of supplies for a village under the protection of the Great Rebellion.
Catra ran towards her and jumped. Glimmer let go of the box to catch her, but Adora managed to grasp the box before it could fell on her friend's feet.
Adora looked at the cat, who was keeping a pleased expression while she was in Glimmer's arms.

That evening, the queen was having a dinner with her daughter and friends.
Glimmer was eating with Catra on her lap.
Adora was glearing at the cat and Catra was looking at her with a smug face.
"Glimmer, I don't think it's igenic to keep her so close to you while you're eating" Bow said.
"Yes! Put her down!" Adora barked, pointing at the cat with her fork.
"Miss Kitty likes to be close to me. She's a bit clingy, but it's normal for a cat" Glimmer explained.
"My mother had a lot of cats when I was young. Sometimes I thought she loved them more than me!" Angella laughed. That akward statement distracted Glimmer and the others from the original topic of the discussion.

Afte dinner, Catra went back in Glimmer's room. Her communicator watch was still under the beauty case.
Catra called Scorpia with it, to let her know how she was doing.
"Catra? Where have you been!?" .
"Shhh! Stop yelling or you'll blow up my cover" Catra said.
Scorpia couldn't hold her laughs when she saw Catra like that.
"I knew Shadow Weaver's magic was powerful, but I had no idea it could be so adorable!" She chuckled.
"For your information, this form is helping me with my new plan. If you were here, you'd see how princess Glimmer is treating me" Catra told her.
Adora was about to knock on Glimmer's door, but she heard voices coming from inside the room. She openned the door just a little, to better hear whoever was talking. She immediately recognized Catra's voice.
"The best part of this plan is that I get to watch Adora go crazy because of me. She can't convince Glimmer that I'm trying to hurt her, so she looks like complete idiot" Catra laughed.
"That little-!" Adora whispered, clenching her fist for the anger. She wanted to give Catra a lesson.
