The smile on Cassidy's face hadn't left her all day. Things were finally working out, she'd handed over her first few chapters and the publishing team loved it. She now has another deadline work towards for the next five chapters. She walked out of the building and got into her car.

Cassidy was vibing to the Ashanti playing form her speakers until it came to a stop, as Dave started ringing her phone.

"Hey baby." she greeted.

"Baby I don't know what the fuck to do. Cam breathing weird as hell and won't talk to me." he rambled quickly, giving Cassidy just enough time to understand him.

"Shit I'm outside hold on." she said quickly pulling into the drive.

Cass practically ran into the house and up the stairs. Dave moved to the side so she could walk in the bedroom. He couldn't stand to see him like that so he walked out and went to grab him some water.

"Cam...Baby...hey look at me." she said kneeling down in front of him.

Cameron looked at her with his glossy eyes. He felt like after being in Cali for a few months he'd finally come to terms with his mother being past help. He didn't feel guilty anymore and he now had a fresh start. But today he felt like he'd taken ten steps back. He'd cut her out of his life only for her to come back.

"What happened?" she asked rubbing his back.

"I saw my mom."he mumbled feeling his heart rate slow down.

"What? Are you sure?" Cassidy was only asking if he was sure because Chelsea hadn't left her home town in years.

"I saw her Cass I swear. She tried talking to me...ian never seen her this bad. She looked sick as hell."

"Okay. Look we'll find out why she's here okay?"

"No ion wanna see her. I left her when I left there." he said shaking his head.

She nodded her head understanding. Cassidy gave him some time to rest and went to find Dave. He was downstairs sitting on the couch staring into space.

"He's fine baby don't worry."

"What was that?"

"A panic attack it's his second one."

"Why they happening?" he asked her.

"Well today he saw Chelsea. So that the main reason."

"What? Chelsea's here?"

"Apparently." she shrugged.

Dave now had to figure out how his sister got here and why most importantly. He grabbed his phone and messaged Kayla and his mom trying to get some answers. She had no money so how first question was how could she afford to fly over here.

He had to go over to his moms anyway to pick up Bella anyways. So he got ready and left.

It was late evening when Cameron woke up. He has a headache and couldn't get his mind off of today. He got up and made his way downstairs to see Cassidy in the living room.

"Where is everyone?" he asked.

"At your grandmas. You feel any better?" she asked and he shook his head.

He laid down draping his arm over his face.
"You hungry? Dinner's ready."

"Always."

She crouched down in front of him seeing his tired eyes had only gotten worse. "Everything's going to be okay you know?"

"Maybe." he mumbled.

Cassidy sighed and got up, she made him a plate and set a place at the table for him. The door opened and Dave walked in carrying Bella.

"Hi." she cheesed trying to wiggle out of his arms.

"You miss me?" Cassidy chuckled kissing her cheeks.

"Oooh." she said peering over her shoulder to see the food.

"You just ate fat girl." Dave chuckled.

Dave washed his hands and made them both a plate. Cassidy found something to watch and tucked into her food. She had a whole minute of peace before Bella was eyeing up her plate.

"Baby you should she ate?" she asked Dave.

"I watched her eat. Move fatty." Dave said sitting down.

"Ahhh." she said opening her mouth.

Dave shook his head but gave her some food anyway. Once they were done Dave cleaned up while Cassidy got Bella ready for bed. On route to her room she heard the constant smacking of a ball hitting the floor. Abs looked out the window to see Cameron dribbling his basket ball before dunking it.

As she was about to go down there to talk she saw Dave walking out. She closed the curtains and got herself ready for bed. Hoping that whatever Dave would say could help Cameron feel better.

Thirty minutes later Dave came to bed trying to be as quietly as possible. But then it dawned on him that she didn't get a kiss goodnight or anything.

"Baby...Baby, I can get a kiss?"

"You woke me for a kiss?" she mumbled trying not to slap him right now.

"Yeah kiss please." he said amcoujg her ass

She sighed and gave him a peck, he grabbed her face and gave her proper kiss.

"Is Cam okay?" she asked.

"He's fine, he just gotta focus on himself right now and nothing else." Cassidy nodded in agreement.

Dave laid down happily going to sleep knowing he'd given the best advice he could to Cameron and reminded him that himself and Cassidy were always there for him. And also happy that he'd gotten a kiss from his wife.
