I looked around the waiting room hoping this wouldn't take too long. We were waiting for the results from all the tests my doctors took. I had all morning to think and I was a little more relaxed, Bella was getting older and we did say we didn't want our kids to be too far apart in age. Money wise there are no worries so I'm honestly blessed with the timing of this all.

"Cassidy Brewster."

We got up and walked in before taking a seat. Dave has had a big kool aid smile on his face all morning which was making me laugh.

"Okay honey congratulations you are pregnant. You are only a few weeks so I won't do a scan yet. So I'll book in your next appointment which will be a scan."

"Okay, does everything seem okay?" I asked and she nodded.

"All your levels are fine, iron is a little low. But it's not low enough to be deficient so we'll keep an eye. Your vitamins will be ready in a few minutes hun, come out front and we'll book your next appointment."

She made sure I didn't have any more questions, so I thanked her and followed her to the front desk. On the way to the front desk I was thanking God that everything was okay. We left and headed back to the car.

"How you feeling?" Dave asked opening the car door for me.

"Good actually...hungry." I said before getting in.

"Watchu craving?" he asked, he leaned over and put on my seatbelt for me.

"Am I five?" I chuckled at him being so extra.

"You're welcome anytime." he said sarcastically, he gave me a kiss before closing the door and hoping in.

After the appointment and some food Dave and Cassidy were back at the house getting all the Christmas decorations down. It was late November and they wanted it all to be done pretty soon.

Cassidy tried to make Christmas special despite feeling so upset about not having her mother here to celebrate the holiday. It hit her worse around these times, every single year.

"Booty don't eat that." Dave said taking a decoration from her.

"Pwetty." she said as she pointed to the decoration.

"Yeah it's pretty but don't eat it." Cassidy chuckled.

They finished up with the tree while Cameron sat there not really in the Christmas mood. It hadn't been anything special but they planned on spoiling him obviously.

"Cam you thought about what you want?" Cassidy asked sitting on the couch.

"You still gonna get me something after the car?" he asked kind of surprised.

His mom couldn't even afford a Christmas dinner so it was never anything special. But clearly this year was going to be completely different.

"Just think about what you want and let us know." he responded with a nod as he didn't have anything at the top of his head.

Cassidy's eyes peeled open and landed on Bella. She was struggling to climb onto the bed so she helped her up. Bella sat down and started babbling away to Cassidy. She only pronounced a few things the rest was noises.
