I slipped off my faja before putting my leggings on , this faja is my best friend until doctor gives me the all clear to work out. I pulled on my tank top and knitted sweater. It was getting a little colder so I was wearing ugg boots and knitwear literally everywhere. Today was my six weeks check up appointment as well as Kyrie's.

Physically I feel like I'm back to some type of normality but mentally that's a different question. These last few weeks had been the hardest time for me. I don't know how I hadn't lost all composure if I'm being honest.

"Right let's get you ready." I said pulling on Kyrie's onesie, he was making little noises as I got him ready.
I picked him up and carried him downstairs.

"Mommy we going?" Bella asked walking over to me.

"You staying with Camz" I said only for her to frown in response.

"Him boring." she shook her head.

"Thanks Bella." Cameron said from the living room.

I crouched down and put Kyrie in his seat. Bella poked her head in front of him giving him a kiss. As much as she gets jealous here and there she was obsessed with him most of the time. The only time she got jealous was when I was nursing him or he slept in the bed with us. As soon as Dave was ready we left out and headed to the appointments.

I walked around the room and cleaned up. Making sure that everything was clean every day all day was a good distraction for me. Today's appointment went well, I'm healed which is good. It's surprising to heal up in less than seven weeks when you give birth to twins. Kyrie was measuring good also, he'd gained a lot of weight. This boy was getting chunky as hell.

Since the door was open Cameron walked right in.

"Ma, uh your kid annoying me." he said making me chuckle.

"What happened?" I asked turning around to face him.

"I tried to go pee and she was trying to follow me in. I went to get food and she was standing right under me, almost fell and bussed my ass." he shook his head.

"She loves you." I said trying but to laugh.

"One way a putting it." he mumbled, clearly thinking differently.

"Don't you have practice?" I asked looking over to see him picking up Kyrie.

"Nah it was cancelled." he said before pulling a goofy face at Kyrie.

"So what's your plans?"

"Nothing it's raining." he shrugged, the rain was just an excuse for his anti social self not to go out.

"Good. You have a couple options of what to do. One baby sit or cook dinner."

"How about we get take out?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

"Because I want some cooked food." We heard the door open and close meaning Dave was back.

"See now I can watch tv peace, ya husband's home." he smiled happily.

I chuckled and took Kyrie from him. He walked out, I sat comfortably on the bed, Kyrie started wining once he heard the storm rumbling outside. I hushed him as I shifted him to one arm to nurse him.

"You're getting so big." I said, resting my back against the headboard.

"Mommy I bring snack." Bella said walking in. She had a bag in her hand which she was struggling to carry. Dave walked in behind her and took the bag before setting it next to me.

"Thank you." I smiled at her.

"Baby you gotta get changed." Dave reminded her that she'd just come from outside, where it was raining.

She hugged and ran off to her room making us laugh. Dave got ch aged himself since he had clearly been attacked by the rain. The door flew open once again and Bella ran back in.

"Mommy share?" she smiled clearly only being nice just to get my food.

"You want some?" I chuckled and she nodded. Dave put her on the bed next to me. I looked in the bag to see a pot of pineapple, bottle of water and some donuts. I tore a donut in half and gave one half to Bella.

"Watchu want for dinner baby?" Dave asked before kissing me.

"There's wings in the fridge I seasoned earlier." I said.

"Mommy baby get donut?" Bella asked moving closer to me.

"No baby, he can't eat that." I said finishing my donut.

"Booty go wash ya hands." Dave said helping her down.

She walked out of the room, Dave leaned down and kissed me again. I felt his hand cup under my chin.

"Mm not too much in front of my baby." I reminded him, Kyrie might be young but he was very alert.

"His ass ain't looking." he chuckled.

As Dave said that Ky pulled away and looked right at him. I chuckled at the drops of milk around his mouth. I wiped his mouth, Dave picked him up so I took my chance to slip in my breast pump.

"Shit. Baby I got sum for you." he said quickly handing Ky back over.

"Where you going?" I frowned at him about to rush back off somewhere.

"I forgot it in the car." I nodded and while he disappeared I got Kyrie to sleep and laid him in his crib. Bella walked back in, looking around the room, for God knows what reason.

"Where's Cam Cam?"

"He's downstairs baby." I chuckled, Cameron was right, her new favourite thing was follow him around like his shadow.

"Let's go." I took her downstairs instead of bothering Cameron I got her to sit quietly with her toys. But she took a liking more to her colouring book.

Before making dinner I made myself some tea, I only started drinking it with my first pregnancy and now I'm hooked. The front door opened and Dave motioned for me to follow him out. "Cam we're just outside."

Cameron nodded so I walked out and pulled the door closed but not all the way. Dave took my hand and walked me to the back car door which was open. On the back seat was a bunch of roses and a large teddy bear.

There was a small black gift bag, I opened the bag and pulled out what looked like a jewellery box. Once I opened it my eyes landed on a silver necklace. The pendant was a circle with a tiny foot print and on the back was Novas name and date of birth.

Nova was the name I fell in love with early on in my pregnancy. As soon as I gave birth I didn't want her to have any other name. I didn't even realise I was crying until I saw the tears fall onto the box.

Dave moved my hair and put the necklace on for me before turning me, so I was facing him. He gently wiped my tears away before cupping my face and kissing me.

"I love you....I promise you we gone be fine." he mumbled as he buried his face in my neck.

"I love you too." We'd both been struggling with the loss of Nova. Although we'd both experienced loss in different ways, losing your child is something completely different.

At first we though if we didn't talk about it, it might be better. But we quickly learnt that wasn't the way forward. So every Friday we would go to her grave just the two of us. We just spend time there talking, although it was hard, we made sure to talk about everything we're feeling.

I calmed myself down before going back into the house. I took the flowers and teddy up to our room and found a place for them. Taking a deep breath, I plopped down and just took a moment to get my thoughts together.
