𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 & 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

𝟬𝟮𝟬:

𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿.
𝗼𝗺𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 .

A tired Cassidy was walking around downstairs as she couldn't get comfortable. The last few months had flown by, her due date technically wasn't yet but she felt over due at this point. Bella was staying with Kayla, they didn't want her seeing Cassidy in such distress. She'd been more emotional and was in discomfort 24/7.

"Baby come eat." Dave said as he set her plate down.

She waddled over and took her plate of food. She got half way through until she didn't want anymore. Having enough, she slowly took her time to go upstairs and take a shower.

"Belly is too damn big." she mumbled as she stripped out of her clothes.

She set one foot in the shower and she felt her water break. As much as she wanted to rush away, she needed to rinse off.

"Mama you sure you ain't still hungry?" Dave asked walking into the bathroom.

"Yeah. Go put the bags in the car please." she said closing the shower door.

"Why now?" he frowned knowing they'd only just about finished packing everything needed.

"My waters just broke."

"So watchu doing in a shower we gotta go?!" he whispered but yelled making her chuckle lowly.

"I need to wash up I'll be two seconds."

For the next ten minutes Dave ran around the house like a crazy person trying to get everything they needed. He loaded up the car with all the bags and the car seat. Once they were both dressed Dave put his foot on the gas and sped off to the hospital.

𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆.

The babies still weren't here, and Cassidy has been in labour for almost twenty hours now. She was getting restless and more scared as time went by.
Currently she was sitting on a pregnancy ball with her head in Dave's lap. They hadn't exchanged too many words in this last hour, Dave was just as nervous as her.

The door opened and her nurse walked in who had been doing all of her regular checks.
"Right let's do another check." she said helping Cassidy onto the bed.

After a quick check she was two more centimetres dilated so she started to get the birthing pool ready. She had a water birth for Bella and decided to do it again.

Dave helped her take off the hospital gown so she could get in the water. She was feeling every agitated so he decided to give her space by not getting in the pool. He simply sat on the ground beside the pool.

Two more midwives walked in suited up and ready to help. "I need to push." Cassidy groaned.

"Okay on three for me. One..two..three." she said and Cassidy started to push as hard as she could.

Cassidy was surprisingly not pushing for too long before the first baby arrived. "Baby boy is first." the nurse said slowly raising him to the surface of the water.

He erupted into a fit of cries as the nurse wiped him down before laying him on Cassidy's chest. The nurse let Dave reach over and cut the chord once she clipped it. The midwife carefully picked him up and moved over to the other side to get him cleaned up.

"How are you feeling?" she asked ushering in another midwife, it was all hands on deck when it came to twins especially this time.

"Tired." Cassidy mumbled feeling her energy levels drop.
