It was finally the day. The day of the huge festival, which was planned out carefully each and every year.
It was hosted by the king himself, Pure Vanilla, and his couple of children. (Typically, Cacao just hid away, he didn't really like the social interaction and people swarming the two...)

It was a simple happy tradition, and even managed to bring the grumpiest of residents to a peaceful mindset.
The trees were decorated with false spider webs, and pumpkin-shaped lanterns which were strung from the branches.

This year, the weather was perfect. Cold, but still warm enough, that people wouldn't be freezing to death.

The king wandered his bedroom, preparing his clothing to go out into the public. He had to look nice, afterall.
His staff was decorated a little bit too, and had some darker vines that wrapped around the base, and a couple pumpkin designs on the flower.

Pure Vanilla checked himself in the mirror to ensure there wasn't anything wrong, and confirmed that he was good.

His cape gently dragged along the tiles as he walked, hurrying to ensure his children were ready to go.
The king knocked on the door of his daughter's room, waiting for her to open it up.

The door creaked open, and there stood his lovely daughter, Black Raisin.
She was dressed in some sort of feather-dress, with a black witches hat.
There was a long, black veil, which pooled over her face.
Her crow also was settled on her shoulder, having a mini version of the hat on.

"Hello, Raisin! Are you ready to go..?"
He asked, watching as she messed with one of her seams.

"..Yeah, I'm good. Did you check on Custard or.."

"Ah, I haven't quite gotten to that yet, are you able to do it..?"
He smiled sheepishly, hoping the boy was ready.

But, shall we move to the good part..?

Black Raisin lead her younger brother around the town. Currently, the festival was still getting the finishing touches done.

She glanced over, seeing Beet, and her girlfriend, setting up the apple bobbing section, making sure it would be safe first. (..Which meant Beet dunking her head into the bucket, and Carrot having to hurry up to get her a towel..)

Glancing to another area while chuckling, Raisin watched as Wildberry helped Avocado set up a tent, roughly hitting the nails into the ground with hammers.

In a corner, Pumpkin Pie was being lifted by Pompon, as she gently set up some garland and more pumpkin-shaped lights.

"Ooh, can we go in the corn maze when it's done, Raisin?!"
Custard happily asked, pointing a small finger towards the large field, where she saw Crepe chasing Sorbet out of the tall corn.
(..Seriously, where the hell was their dad when they needed him?!)

"..Hm.. Of course. We only have about.."
She glanced to the giant clock tower.

"...25 minutes, until the festival begins."
Raisin smiled, leading him further into the plaza.

Beet gasped, raising her head again from the water.
She coughed, dropping an apple onto the floor.
