♡"Searchin' For A Relic!"

It felt like it had been days since he kissed his dearest boyfriend goodbye in his office, promising to return with something to his liking..
Well-..Maybe 'days' was a bit dramatic..Much less, it had only been 2 hours since he left..
Yet, it still felt like weeks had passed by since then, especially since he was beginning to miss the historian terribly.

. .Either way, he endured the loneliness, wiping a small amount of sweat from underneath of his hair. Adventurer sighed, continuing through the small cave he had come across. He simply wanted to find something that would impress his boyfriend, but he couldn't figure out what..
..He knew that Eclair would find interest in any relic he brought home, but he couldn't help but want it to be perfect.

Adventurer kicked a rock quietly, watching it roll in front of him. He sighed, frowning. Nothing interesting had happened yet..
Was a simple relic so hard to ask for??

..He had still been walking, messing around with his rope with a smile. Adventurer slightly swung it out, giggling to himself. He pulled it back, tying it back around his shoulder, reaching to fix his bandana once again.

The explorer stayed silent afterwards, quickly catching sight of some ancient-looking carvings in the wall.
..The drawings indicated simple things; People being happy, gathering around a fire..Simple stuff.
With a small fist pump, Adventurer continued through the cave, staring at the carvings on the walls. He raised his guard once reaching a large, open area, taking out his rope and stretching it in both fists.

He tried to keep his steps quiet, loud against the stone pathways. Adventurer kept moving, finally coming across whatever it was that deserved such an open space.
Some kind of skeleton; The shape of a sugar lion, it seemed. Adventurer inspected it, raising an eyebrow. If something took down a sugar lion, fully skinning it of its flesh, then it had to have been some kind of giant beast.

..He gulped a bit, quickly grabbing whatever he could of the bones, shoving them into his backpack friend hurriedly to ensure he wouldn't be found by whatever lurked in the cave.

..Adventurer heard a growl, echoing behind him. He felt his blood go cold, heart dropping to his stomach.
Oh shit.

. . . . . . .

..Swinging across ropes and running through a seemingly endless cave, away from a giant lizard-typed abomination was not how he planned to spend this day.
Adventurer yelled back at it, throwing some stones, only angering the beast more. He groaned, catching sight of the exit.

..Adventurer sped up, smiling in relief. His boots were loud against the rough stone, yet not louder than the screeching creature trailing close behind him. The moment he got close, Adventurer threw out his rope, swinging outside of the cave. (..Maybe giving the beast the middle finger..Hey, it chased him away from a potential relic for his lover!)

..He hunched over, hands gripping at his kneecaps. Adventurer tried to breathe, loudly hyperventilating to attempt to recatch his breath. His heart was racing, he could hear it in his ears..

But, he could only happily smile at the safe bones, tucked away in his bag.

"A-Addie-! What happened, are you hurt-?!"
..Eclair gasped out, grabbing his face and turning it in multiple directions to check his injuries. Adventurer only gave a sheepish chuckle, nodding silently.

"..My, it seems we need to get some bandages for this..There is blood on you, dear-!"
The historian said in pure fear, gripping his shoulders to pull him further into his office. Adventurer stayed mostly quiet, knowing what lay idle in his bag.
..He continued to keep his little silent game, even as his boyfriend wrapped bandages around whatever spots he had been harmed at.

"Oh dear..What attacked you..T-these look like dragon scratches.."

"D-Dragon scratches?! I-I mean..I did run away from a big lizard bu-"
"..A-Addie.."

".....Dragon's are quite literally giant lizards, dear-.."

..He felt like a literal idiot.

..After quite the laugh from the historian, he returned to patching up the cuts and bruises, finishing it all up with a kiss on his cheek.

"Oh I-..Also..G-got you somethin', Eclair!"
Adventurer blurted out, grabbing his bag quickly and tearing everything out of it, including his own supplies. Eclair stared down at the fossils, eyes lighting up.

"Oh my-! Y-you found these?! Dear, these are wonderful! I shall do my research on them as fast as I can!"
Eclair happily said, lightly bouncing. He hugged Adventurer, this time, giving him an actual kiss to the lips.

"..Thank you, truly."

..The explorer grinned, nodding whilst tilting his hat a bit.
"No problem, at all! Bein' chased by a dragon was worth it for you!"

..And the historian turned slightly red, chuckling. He glanced away, leading his boyfriend towards his desk, so he could watch the process of his research.
