Breaking Enigma || The Imitation Game

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Hello dear readers and welcome to my new Fanfiction that is 'Breaking Enigma.' It's based upon the magnificent, beautifully made/written, tear-jerking film 'The Imitation Game.'

Hopefully, this story will be as equally tear-jerking (but probably won't be as good). I'm aiming to make this my best fanfic yet and I pray that it will be.

I'd like to start off by saying that parts of this book will be (sometimes) historically inaccurate, but that's all part of the plot and reasons why characters are who they are etc. so I'm sorry if that causes any inconvenience.

Secondly, I've been planning this story since March and the first publishing date was planned to be late July/early August- summer, basically.

At the start of June, I had written 28 parts (drafts), which was rather staggering. So, the story would end up being 40+ parts or possibly more by the time of completion (whenever that may be). Each chapter will be, on average, 1,300 words long (I'm not quite sure if you consider that a lot, but when it comes to writing them, it certainly is).

Despite this, it's obvious that I've published the first part (as well as the Prologue and Authors Note) on June 23rd. I have done this to honour Alan Turing himself as it is his 103rd birthday today! God bless that an amazing man and without him, I may not be writing this book today...

The rest of the story will come according to plan in July/August and later...

Furthermore, I'm thinking of entering 'Breaking Enigma' in the Watty Awards of 2015. When I've published a few chapters, I'd love to know what you guys think of the idea!

There will be additional chapters (written in italics) from the point of view of Allany when she was younger; like in the film that shows Alan Turing at school. I just thought it would be a nice thing to add in.

I've also decided on a cast (which is listed in the following part and some characters will be from The Imitation Game, whom belong to the writers/producers and to Life itself. Any others who you don't recognise (eg: Kester, Allany etc.) belong to me.

Another quick note: Allany is pronounced as 'Al-an-ee' for those who are wondering.
