20. The dress

The moms went with their car and me and belly went with mine.

"I still can't believe that you managed to afford this car" belly says looking at every inch of the car

"To be honest I have no idea how I afforded it either" i say with a chuckle

She looks at me and smiles

"So... what's up with you and conrad?" She says wiggling her eyebrows up and down with a stupid grin on her face

"Oh my god," i shake my head still looking at the road "nothing" i say when i looking at her with a small smile

"How dare you lie to me?!?! You don't think I noticed how close you two were in the bathroom when I walked in on you two" she says offended

"he had a cut on his face so I had to get closer to his face in order to clean it up!" I say with my vice getting higher by the second

"EVEN MORE LIES" She says pointing at me

"Okay belly we can talk about this later, after we're done shopping alright?"

"Fine" she says with a sigh

"But I choose the song"

"Go knock yourself out" i say with a small chuckle

She plays "Judas"- by lady Gaga. Which is personally one of my favorites.

"IM JUST A HOLY FOOL, OH, BABY ITS SO CRUEL BUT IM STILL IN LOVE WITH JUDAS, BABY. IM JUST A HOLY FOOL, OH, BABY ITS SO CRUEL BUT IM STILL IN LOVE WITH JUDAS, BABY" We both sing at the top of our lungs. It's times like this I'm grateful for having belly in my life, a girl that's been by my side since day 1, my sister and my best friend. After we're done with singing Judas "female robbery"- by The Neighborhood starts playing and by then we're just laughing our ass' off. I've always been jealous of belly for being loved the most by the moms but now I realize that belly might be their favorite but I'm belly's, Jeremiah's, Stevens, and Conrad's favorite and if that's not a flex then I don't know what is.

Not long later we arrive at the shop Susannah told us to go to. We're supposed to buy our evening dresses for the first day there.

We walk into the store and are immediately met with floral dresses and the scent of vanilla and lavender.

We look around for a while not quite liking the dresses because they looked very outdated but it's a deb ball everything about it is outdated.

I decided to go with a white dress with blue flowers, not my type but it's cute for sure. Then we had to go get fascinators. I hate fascinators they're so extra for no reason but I did choose the least extra one which also works with my dress so I'm not complaining.

After all that we had to go get the main dress. At this point my feet were aching and I was getting incredibly tired not to mention the hangover from last night was slowly coming back. Me and belly tried on 8 dresses and all of them weren't close to being the dress either they were too sparkly or too plain, too lacy or too silky, too poufy or too tight. I was slowly loosing hope and regretting my decision on agreeing to attend the deb ball. I was about to give up until I saw it. It was on one of the racks in the back. We were about to leave but I asked to try it on. I put it on and I've never felt more pretty in my entire life. It was the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. It was silky and had a beautiful train, it had the right amount of detail, it had puffy sleeves too. It looked like a dress from my greatest fantasies it was the dress.

We headed out of the store I had the biggest smile on my face. The dress needed some alterations so they kept it to fix it up. I felt so so so happy. But right after we have to go to the deb meeting.
