Hope finished packing her suitcase of clothes and her suitcase of painting materials with a few of her favorite paintings. She wheeled them out to the car, "Do I have to stay at the school over night? What about you guys?"

"It'll be easier for you that way, Hope." Hayley replied, "And don't worry about us. We'll make sure to call and visit."

Hope smiled and gave in, "Fine." She got in the car with her parents. They rambled on about how nice this school seemed for her the entire short ride.

When they got there, instead of parking, Jackson and Hayley simply dropped Hope off. It was extremely frightening to be without her parents in such a big place. She didn't exactly know where to start.

She stayed inside the main hall for an hour in awkward silence trying to wait for all the movement to calm down. The blonde from the day prior walked up to her, "You okay?"

"Yeah. All the movement, and being without my parents in such a big place. It just gets to me."

"Would you like some help getting around?" She looked Hope in her eyes. She analyzed the beautiful blue-green eyes, "You have very pretty eyes by the way."

Caroline's comment made her feel a little bit better, "Thank you," she replied. "And yes, I really do need help," she chuckled.

"Right this way," she walked the girl upstairs, "Do you know what dorm number you are?" Caroline asked, and Hope said 28.

Caroline assisted the auburn inside, "If you need anything else, you can walk across the hall. My daughters can help you around the school." She pointed to the door across the hall.

"Thank you, Ms—."

"Forbes. It's okay," Caroline smiled, "What's you're name?"

"Hope," the 14 year old replied.

"Beautiful name," Caroline complemented. Then she walked out, closing the door behind her.

"Thank you, Ms. Forbes," Hope said quietly, but Caroline could still hear due to her vampire hearing. For some strange reason, the girl seemed really familiar.

Alaric signed off one last bit off paper work. Caroline appeared, thinking she made no sound. Alaric didn't even need to lift his head, "Good morning, Caroline."

"It's getting harder to sneak up on you," she laughed.

"In a school full of supernaturals? I'm used to the 'sneaking up on.'" Alaric smiled. He walked around his desk to Caroline.
