"Drink up, sweetheart," Hayley pushed a smaller cup filled with a dark tea, with a reddish tint, over to the toddler sitting in a higher chair beside her.

The child used her two hands to pick up the cup, but she gagged on the taste. "I don't like," was what she managed to say, and she pushed the cup of which she barely took a sip from away.

The mother leaned down against the table to view the toddler, and her blue eyes, at eye level. Her head was on the table, moving up as she spoke, "Just drink, it's good for you."

The child stayed hesitant, glancing at the cup and then back at her mom, with a frown.

Hayley sat back up in her chair. "Hope," she said, then brought her wrist up to her mouth. She carefully bit into it, then set her arm down on the table for Hope to watch as it healed. She showed astonishment as the once bloody bite mark was gone as if nothing had happened.

"If you drink," She pushed the cup back to her daughter, "Then nothing can hurt you." Hayley smiled. Hope felt a sense of feeling safe.

Jackson walked in from the living room to Hayley's right. The werewolf questioned, "What's going on?" He furrowed his brows. Hayley giving their 4 year old daughter vampire blood had him concerned.

Hope smiled as her father walked in, "Da-d." She pronounced. "Look!" Hope pointed to her mom, "Mom, show him!"

Hayley turned her head to Jackson, who obviously knew what was going on. She looked back to Hope, "Dad has already seen."

After a moment's of silence, Hayley continued, "Here, let's get ready for bed." She smiled as the little girl hopped out of her chair. Hope had only recently mastered the ability to walk without a stumble.

Hayley soon came back from the child's room to see Jackson still next to the table, with a disappointed glare. The hybrid sighed. She didn't bother to ask why her lover was upset with her.

Jackson, instead, answered without her asking, "You gave Hope your blood?" His face tensed, and he walked over to the kitchen with his arms crossed, where Hayley had gone.

With another sigh, Hayley responded, "Yes Jackson," she put Hope's cup in the sink. Then she brought her head up to the upset werewolf, "I gave her my blood."

"Why?" Jackson shook his head. He was very quick to question her motives. He stopped at the doorframe, not moving until Hayley gave him a good explanation.
