Hope zipped up her suitcase after packing all but one thing

Hope zipped up her suitcase after packing all but one thing. She pulled an image off her dresser. Her and her dad. Not Jackson—, Klaus. She held on to it in secret for so long, but now when she looks at the picture she just feels so guilty. Like she was the one responsible. She sent the other picture to Klaus... leading him to New York for what was supposed to be a happy reunion, but now a remnant of death. She stared at the picture for so long, and then she finally let go. The image fell onto the bed, and Hope walked out of her room with the suitcase. She now stood in the very hallway that she had seen Jackson dead... on the floor.

Hayley came up to Hope with all of her stuff—and all of the sentimental stuff of Jackson's, packed away in a suitcase as well. She noticed Hope's frozen state. She didn't like being in the hallway... she could only see the horrifying images of it. Hayley rubbed Hope's back calmly to comfort her, "Let's go..."

Hayley ushered her daughter towards the door. And when she opened the door, a boy was on the other side, about to knock. He looked at them awkwardly then brought his fist down. It was Alex. Elijah, who left yesterday after the funeral, said he had found and compelled the boy to forget everything he saw. Alex stuttered at first, "I, uhm, I just wanted to talk to Hope... but I see that, I may not get that chance...?" He pointed at the suitcases slowly, like he was disappointed. He was saddened to see that this meant Hope was leaving.

"New York just wasn't... fit for us. I'm sorry, Alex, but we're not usually a family to stick to one place," Hayley apologized.

"Well.. where are you—moving to now?" He questioned, then laid his eyes on Hope. He would like to see her again.

Hayley didn't even have a place in mind... she just knew that they had to get far from the Mikaelsons...

Hope then answered, without Hayley's agreeance to her place in mind, "Mystic Falls." She knew her mom would have questions, as Hayley immediately looked at Hope with a definite 'no' for an answer. Hope looked back at her mom, "I liked it there—and I have friends there. I miss them..." Hayley's mind still seemed unchanged, so Hope added, "No more secrets or hidden agendas..."

After what felt like a long plead in Hope's eyes, Hayley bit her lip, and smiled slightly, "Mystic Falls, then." She looked back at Alex. He acknowledged that this was his turn to step aside for the two to walk out of the apartment. He looked back into as the door slowly closed. Recalling memories they belief he'd forgotten, well—Hope must know he remembers...
