"So when are you going to tell me why I never knew about Latvia and that town?" Rebekah questioned as Klaus drove past a sign entering New Salem. He just sighed as he readjusted his hand on the wheel. The blonde continued, "I don't see why it's such an issue for you to admit you've done good. To accept that you've done good."

"That's not it," Klaus denied while shaking his head.

"Really? We've known each other for a millennia and you really think it wouldn't be obvious? You don't have to force yourself to believe your just plain evil, Nik." Rebekah shook her head and said in a comforting voice.

Klaus looked over to Rebekah with wider eyes, correcting her, "I never told you or anyone else because I was protecting them, Rebekah. After Mikael found us in New Orleans... I knew that no one could know about the town. If anyone had... then Mikael could have found it.

"But Mikael's been dead, Nik. For 13 years. And he was dead before then too," Rebekah added.

"It wasn't exactly something to suddenly bring up in conversation, Rebekah," Klaus raised his eyebrows at her, then he looked back at the road as he pulled over onto the side of the road. A block away was a massive brown house. A very old house that's clearly had renovations. But the foundation was still the same as the last time either of them had seen it.

Rebekah shrugged it off for now, but she felt there was more to it as to why Klaus never discussed the town before. "You think the coven still lives in the same house?"

"Witches are sacred to their home ground. This house was built over the same ground executions had taken place." Klaus looked over to Rebekah, "Lovely information provided by Kol. They will be here. And if they helped Hayley and Jackson, they will regret it." The hybrid threatened as he open the car door and got out. Rebekah following behind.

Klaus knocked on the door then brought his hand behind his back, waiting for someone to come open it. On the otherside of the door when opened was a tall man with a beard and a red-checkered-flannel. Klaus and Rebekah smiled when he opened the door, and the man's heart skipped a beat when he saw the two originals on his porch.

He quickly got himself together and asked as if he didn't know who they were, "Can I help you two with something?"

"What's your name?" Rebekah quickly asked him. She and Klaus were already suspicious that he didn't make any remarks about them.

"Chris," he answered simply, addressing Rebekah with quick eye contact; contact that was pulled away when Klaus said his name.

"And, Chris," Klaus raised his eyebrows at him, "This house, you live here alone? It is quite a big residence that is well kept."

"Not alone. Now, would care to tell me what you need?" Chris asked again. The sooner they buy the fact that he doesn't know them, the less likely they are to believe he helped Hayley.
