"So you're the reason that war was won?" Hope questioned with widened eyes

"So you're the reason that war was won?" Hope questioned with widened eyes. A full vampire attack against the Germans sounded crazy. And Marcel's the reason it happened. The vampire nodded. "That's crazy and quite the save!"

"Now that our past quarrels are over, Marcel," Klaus tapped Marcel's shoulder, "I can finally tell you I liked that story. I was a little too paranoid to admit it," he smiled and tilted his head towards the vampire.

"Oh god," Hope said out of no where. Both Marcel and Klaus turned their heads immediately at Hope and looked at her confused. She gestured at the door, "That's my headmaster— he might be looking for me—," Hope began. She quickly said, "Invisique."

The bartender that tended to them walked up to the bar. "Where'd the young lady go?"

Klaus looked him in the eyes and compelled, "She was never here." He slapped down a hundred dollar bill, "Your best scotch." The bartender grabbed the money and walked away.

Alaric Saltzman walked up to the bar and took a seat on the stool to Klaus' left. Marcel was still standing on Klaus's right by the seat Hope sat at. Alaric looked at the hybrid, "Klaus."

"Alaric." Klaus smiled widely. "I see most things about Mystic Falls haven't changed," He raised his eyebrows keenly.

Alaric cleared his throat, "So, what are you doing here? I thought you were done with this town. What was it again? New Orleans!" The man chuckled, "That's the place calling your name for you to get back to," he raised his eyebrows. He knew it wouldn't be that easy, though.

"Oh well, that's too bad. I'm rather occupied here in Mystic Falls." Klaus gestured to Marcel standing beside him, "Showing a friend of mine where I spent a good amount of my years."

"Or perhaps," Alaric moved his head side to side. The drink he had ordered was set by him. "You're here to see a little witch..."

"Caroline told you, didn't she?" Klaus said in a tired voice.

"She didn't have to," Alaric stated in a serious voice. "I put two and two together, then I confronted her about it." He looked directly at Klaus, "So what's the plan, then? Let your apparent daughter play secret life? As she apparently has been for months now."

"As a matter a fact, yes," Marcel took on. He looked at Klaus, then at Alaric, "I'm sure you also figured out by now that Hope's mom, Hayley, and Jackson want nothing to do with the Mikaelsons. Secret life is the only way Hope gets to spend time with us."

"Hmph," Alaric turned his head away from Marcel and at Klaus. "That doesn't sound like the Klaus I know." He tilted his head. "But I wonder why her parents don't want her to have anything to do with you lot? I assume there's a good reason they went into hiding. And maybe a better reason why they came to Mystic Falls. To hide in plain site." Alaric paused for a moment. He looked down at his drink, "It's just too bad Caroline kept contact with you."
